Their six-year best friend Santa watches them dance around each other, while Pond's best friend Taehyung gives him endless shit for not shooting his shot yet.

The Weight of Eyes
Phuwin sits cross-legged on the low wall near the coffee cart, head tipped back laughing at something Santa said, his bangs catching the sun. Pond stands thirty feet away, coffee forgotten in his hand, watching the curve of Phuwin's throat. Taehyung steps into his line of sight, arms crossed. “You're going to burn a hole in him.” Pond blinks, looks down at his cup. The lid is dented where he gripped it too hard. Around them, students drift past, but his gaze slides back to Phuwin—who glances over, catches him staring, and rolls his eyes before turning back to his friends.
“Auntie, I Missed you so much!”
Phuwin sits in class Next to Santa and Siyh. Phuwin takes Out his Presentation and Siyh Looks for the Work in her bag and doesn’t See it and Says Mai Kao Jai. Tee Nai.. Is it? She says as She pouts . Phuwin sighs and chuckles before Giving her His project and saying to erase his name and Write hers. Siyh says Thank you and Kisses Phuwin’s cheek before Hugging him tightly and Phuwin just shakes his head, exhausted. The professor enters and everyone Gets up and Bows while saying good morning professor in Thai and sitting down. The professor asks for the Projects and Lets the student spit their project in and checking their name. Phuwin stays seated as Santa and Siyh go up and put the projects in, Mentally preparing himself from the professors lectures. The professor calls Phuwin Up and asks why He didn’t have a project. Phuwin pleads with him in Thai and the professor says that He’ll have to take credit away from Phuwin’s grade if He doesn’t have the papers by Tomorrow morning, 7:00 am sharp. Phuwin says Ok and Thank you in Thai before heading back to his row and sitting in his seat. Siyh asks him if He’s ok and Phuwin says He’s fine. The professor says His lectures and shares the slides and text while calling on students to answer him questions on the reading and research for the Book their reading. Phuwin sighs and Rubs his eyes, He takes a deep breath and Sighs again as He looks at the book. Siyh asks if Santa could write down all the notes. Siyh Grabs Phuwin’s hand and Head down the stairs from their row and Siyh ask the professor to Get Stuff and Go to the bathroom. Siyh takes Phuwin to the Cafeteria and she Buys Phuwin a Strawberry Boba with extra Pearls and syrup. She takes Phuwin to A chair and Rubs his head as He drinks the boba tiredly. Siyh asks If Phuwin wants to go home to Mae Godji. Phuwin says Not yet and Breathes out Softly. Phuwin Puts the drink down and rubs his eyes while saying that He is so tired of Being In Mr. Thanirkynian’s class and listening to His lectures. Siyh and him talk before heaidng back to class joking around, Phuwin still drinking his boba.
“ Hey! I’m trying to work!”
Later, Phuwin gets home, yawning. Mae Godji finished closing up the shop earlier and She says Good afternoon in Thai before laughing slightly while taking off Her Apron. Phuwin sighs and says Good afternoon back, saying Auntie! Can we please get some cookout. I don’t Have energy right now to cook. Mae godji opens the Gate at the counter, stepping out and hugging Phuwin while asking why was wrong. Phuwin says that He has a lot of work to do and finish Setting up a Place for His birthday party and He’s still buying stuff and He just Very Overwhelmed and tired. Mae godji kisses his cheek and Says It’s ok and sure and She’ll get Pork belly and other stuff like dumplings, rice, vegetables and Stew. Phuwin says yes and Mae Godji lets Phuwin go to his room upstairs while getting her wallet, phone and house keys. Upstairs, Phuwin sets his bag down on his bed and Sits at his desk with figures, Books, His paint pallets, Textbooks, Folders and pictures. He takes his Sheets of paper from his desk drawer and turns his Computer on, signing in and doing research for the text. Finishing an 1 later and Mae godji Brings up his food and Puts it on his desk while talking to him softly and saying that She’ll Sleep in here with him and She smiles while rubbing his shoulder and Getting up, heading to her room to get pillows and Stuff. She Turns the shower on and takes a shower. Phuwin sits at his desk for a long minute thinking about him and pond Today and How pond sounded like He was flirting with him and Has a crush on him but quickly Says that Pond doesn’t because all the girls at school want him and Pond wouldn’t Bother Liking some guy like him. He writes, He listens as Mae godji Heads out her room and into his room, sitting on the bed and reading a book. Phuwin rubbed his eyes before he continued Working. It was now 3:00 and He was almost done. He continued writing for about a 2 hours more until he finally finished the project and sighed while smiling at the project and Stretches with his pencil in his hand. He spent 6 hours working on his assignments and it was 5:00 now. He got up and took a shower. 5:24 after he took a shower and dressed. He went in bed next to Mae Godji and Mae Godji held Him close and smiled. Phuwin sighed and smiled as He held Onto Mae godji arms and fell asleep.

Phuwin wakes up at 6:45. He looks over and Godji is Gone. He Packs his things in his bag. he brushes his teeth and takes his project, assignment and Books with him. He says good morning to Mae godji as He rushes out the door. It’s 6:50. He mumbles to himself that He won’t be able to make it in 10 minutes. It usually takes him 45 mins. He sighs and holds onto his phone and Bag tightly as He runs , His slippers hitting the floor. He Make it in 12 minutes. 7:02 He runs Professors class and Heads to his desk. Professor says that He is late and won’t be accepting the Project now but the assignment could be handed in. Phuwin tries pleading with the professor as a the professor walks around and goes through bins, Phuwin saying that He’s up to be Valedictorian and He can’t do this to him. He needs to turn this in and this is a huge Thing to his grades. It’s only been two minutes pass 7:00. Professor turns and says that’s why he’s not collecting it because The project was told to be in at exactly 7:00 not 7:00. He says in Thai that He has a Class and for Phuwin to leave now and He’ll see him later. Phuwin lets a tear fall before wiping it with the back of his hand and running out the class, Pushing through the kids coming inside. He runs while crying . Siyh, Santa and Jungkook sees him and Heads forward to him as He cries louder. Phuwin says that He fucking came late to Give in his work and Now He fucking Can’t make his older sister proud of him. Why is it always fucking him?! Siyh says That Its ok and She’ll tell professor that The work she gave in was Phuwin’s and Everything will be ok, And all she wants is for Phuwin to be happy and Filled with joy like all the time and how he used to be. Phuwin says That Professor already graded The fucking Project and He fucking brought down his grade so fucking much. He cries in Siyhs shoulder. Siyh rubs his head and Says she’s sorry and She loves him for Being someone to do anything for His best friends and she’s proud of him and She would do anything to make Him happy but they should tell Mae Godji and that He should stay home until He feels better and Is Happy, joyful and Bright like The Phuwin She knows. Pond watches from a table, sitting with Taehyung and his other friends and He Taps his Friends and Taehyung’s shoulder as He sees Siyh Wipe Phuwin tears and Kisses his forehead. He winches and Gets Jealous- full of rage and He bangs his hand into the table and the people turn. He sits up in his seat and He listens as His friends say that Phuwin has Probably gotten that chick, Siyh as His girlfriend and Pond should go get his Malewife before He’s witnessing them kissing Each other. Pond runs a hand through his hair and Sighs as He sees Siyh stare into Phuwin’s eyes and smile while saying something in Thai he can’t hear at all. The Girls find pond, a huge Crowd of girls and Pond Curses under his breath as He gets up and runs with his friends as the girls Chase him.

Late during night around 10:00, Phuwin and The others reach at Mae Godji’s house and Phuwin Hugs godji and tells her what happened With his work and professor. Godji Says it’s ok and Asks Phuwin what He wants to do. Phuwin says He’ll drink With his friends in the yard. Godji smiles and hugs Phuwin’s friends ( Siyh, Santa, Jungkook). Godji smiles and says that she will go to sleep now. They reach outside and Drink while teasing each other especially Phuwin, talking about Pond and other stuff and Phuwin’s pass relationship with Some guy he hooked up with a Year ago and Started dating him after 2 months of knowing each other. Phuwin gets really really drunk and Ends up throwing up in a bin he runs too. Phuwin tries to drink More but Siyh says no and Wipes his face with a rag and Take shim up stairs And the other pack the drinks and head up afterwards, The laugh at how drunk Phuwin is and tease and Video him while laughing. Phuwin jumps into bed and Everyone climbs in after Phuwin, They lay down Huddled together on Phuwin’s bed. They talk and joke until they fall asleep. Siyh and Phuwin’s hands are interlaced as they fall asleep.
