The deck's rough wood had gone warm under their bare feet by the time the group spilled out of the reception, the string lights buzzing overhead like a halo of caught fireflies. Phuwin stepped into the salt air with Tyral balanced on his hip, the boy's small hands fisted in the collar of his white crop top, and the ocean rolled out before them, dark and endless, the waves thudding against the shore in a rhythm that felt like a heartbeat.

"Phuphu," Tyral said, his voice coming out in that soft struggle, the syllables catching. He reached out toward the water, fingers splaying at the dark. "Phuphu, look."

Phuwin smiled down at him, the weight of the boy familiar and warm against his side. "I see it, baby. The ocean's so big, isn't it?"

Tyral nodded, his eyes wide, and then he turned, his small face catching the string light. "Phuphu looks so beautiful," he said, each word a careful effort, "like the ocean."

The laugh that left Phuwin was soft, almost a breath. He pressed his cheek against Tyral's hair for a moment, then set him down on the sand, the boy's bare feet sinking into the cool grains. "Thank you, Tyral. That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me all day."

Tyral beamed up at him, then pointed at his own cheek, a demanding little gesture. "Júp."

Phuwin crouched, his knees pressing into the sand, and pressed a kiss to the boy's cheek. Tyral giggled, the sound bright and uncomplicated, and then his gaze shifted over Phuwin's shoulder.

"Hey!" Pond's voice cut through the night, half-laughing, half-indignant. "That's my wife you're kissing."

Tyral, quick as a flicker, pressed another kiss to Phuwin's cheek and stuck his tongue out at Pond. Phuwin felt his own smile crack wide open, helpless and warm.

Pond made an exaggerated face back, his brow furrowed and his tongue out, and Tyral matched it, the two of them locked in a silent battle of ridiculousness. Phuwin laughed, the sound carried off by the wind.

"That's not very nice, Pond," he said, rising to his feet, brushing the sand from his knees.

"But he did it first," Pond said, crossing his arms, the petulance in his voice undercut by the softness in his eyes. "Didn't you see him just now? Plus—" he stepped closer, his voice dropping, "—I'm your husband."

Phuwin held his gaze, the words settling into his chest like a stone dropped into still water. He let Tyral run off toward Siyh, the boy's laughter trailing behind him, and then he lifted his hand, the diamond catching the string light, the rose gold warm against his skin, the rhinestones winking like small stars. He smirked.

"As your wife."

Pond's eyes went dark, and then his hands were on Phuwin's waist, lifting him clean off the sand. Phuwin laughed, a surprised, delighted sound, and beat at Pond's shoulders with his fists. "Pond! Put me down!"

"Never," Pond said, but he was smiling, the kind of smile that reached his eyes and softened his whole face. "You're stuck with me."

Phuwin stopped hitting him. He looked at Pond, really looked at him — the dark hair, the gold chain catching the light, the man who had waited, who had come back, who had chosen him. And he kissed him. Deep and slow, the kind of kiss that tasted like salt and champagne and forever. The photographer, lingering at the edge of the deck, raised his camera and captured it, the shutter clicking soft and discreet.

"Beautiful," the photographer murmured, lowering his camera. "Would anyone else like a photo?"

"No," came the chorus, immediate and laughing.

The photographer smiled and slipped back inside, leaving them to the night.

Phuwin pulled back from the kiss, his forehead resting against Pond's for a moment before he turned, looking out at the sea. The waves rolled in, endless and patient, and he sighed, the sound full of something he couldn't name. He stretched his hand out toward the sky, the ring catching the dim light, the diamond, the rose gold, the rhinestones. He smiled.

Pond watched him, saying nothing, his hands still loose on Phuwin's waist. Then, gently, he set him down.

Phuwin's feet found the sand, and he turned, his gaze landing on Santa and Perth standing close by the water's edge, their shoulders brushing. A smirk curled across his face, and he ran toward them, the sand kicking up at the heels of his boots.

"I want to see you two kiss," he announced, skidding to a stop in front of them. "Right now."

Santa's face flushed a deep pink, visible even in the dim light. "Shut up."

"I heard about the bathroom," Phuwin said, crossing his arms, his grin unrepentant. "Before you came to cut the cake. I want the visual."

Siyh, Jaaro, and Mint let out a chorus of "Oooooooooo," the sound drawn out and gleeful. Tai sighed, shaking her head, a small smile tugging at her lips. Perth just smirked.

Phuwin stepped back, giving them room, and Perth moved first. He took Santa's face in his hands and kissed him deeply, the kind of kiss that made Phuwin's own chest ache with secondhand warmth. Santa's hands came up to grip Perth's shirt, and for a moment, the world narrowed to the two of them.

"Finally," Phuwin breathed. "I've been longing to see that."

Santa pulled back, his face flushed, his glasses slightly askew. "Enough," Siyh said, stepping forward, her hand finding Tai's. "It's me and my baby's turn."

Santa turned to look at her, still catching his breath, and Siyh let go of Tyral's hand. The boy stood there, watching with wide, curious eyes, and Siyh pulled Tai close, her hand sliding to the back of Tai's neck, and kissed her deeply.

"Not with the kid watching," Phuwin said, his voice sharp with laughter. "Tyral. Come here."

Tyral ran over, his small feet pattering through the sand, and Phuwin scooped him up, pressing a hand over the boy's eyes. Tyral giggled, squirming, but didn't fight it.

Tai pulled back, her face flushed, her lips slightly parted. "That's it," she said, her voice breathless. "That's enough."

"Tae!" Phuwin called, his voice bright. "Your turn."

Taehyung smirked, and he didn't hesitate. He pulled Jungkook close by the waist, one hand sliding to the small of his back, and kissed him. Jungkook's hands came up to grip Taehyung's shoulders, and the kiss was deep, unhurried, the kind of kiss that said everything they hadn't yet said out loud.

Phuwin let out a low whistle. "Shiaa."

His grip on Tyral's eyes loosened, and the boy peeked through his fingers. "Wooah," Tyral breathed. "Phuphu?"

Phuwin looked down at him, then smiled, gentle. "It's fine, baby. Go back inside to your mommy, okay?"

Tyral nodded, squirming to be let down, and the moment his feet hit the sand he was off, running back toward the reception doors, his laughter trailing behind him.

"Hold up!" Phuwin called, spinning back toward the group. Taehyung pulled back from the kiss, his hand still on Jungkook's waist, and looked at him. Mint was staring at the sand, her cheeks pink. Jaaro looked at Phuwin, an eyebrow raised.

Phuwin stood there, his hands on his hips, a grin spreading across his face. "It's time for a JaaroMint moment. Júp!"

Everyone took up the chant, voices rising and falling in the salt air. "Júp! Júp! Júp!"

Jaaro's face went red, but she was smiling. "Fine!" She turned to Mint, took her face in her hands, and kissed her. Everyone cheered and clapped, the sound swallowed by the waves.

Phuwin jumped up, his boots sinking into the sand. "Yay! Finally, I got every visual. This was one of my wishes."

Pond walked up behind him, his presence a warmth at Phuwin's back. "What are the others?"

Phuwin turned, looking up at him. "I don't know," he said, a smirk curling his lips. "What should they be?"

Pond's hand found his waist, the thumb circling slow, that gesture that undid Phuwin more than anything else. "It's not quite verbal," he said, his voice low. "More physical, I guess?"

Phuwin's breath caught. "Right there. You're like a mind reader."

"Enough flirting!" Siyh's voice cut through the moment, sharp and laughing. "It's some of our last moments together. Today is Pondphuwin's wedding. And in two days—" she spread her arms wide, "—it's our graduation!"

Phuwin laughed, the sound bright and uncomplicated. "Yeah."

They gathered together at the shoreline, a loose, laughing circle of bodies, the waves lapping at their feet. Phuwin looked at them all — Siyh and Tai, Santa and Perth, Taehyung and Jungkook, Jaaro and Mint — and something in his chest cracked open, warm and full.

"This is forever!" he said, the words tumbling out of him, and he meant them. He meant every syllable.

He turned to Pond, kissed him soft and quick, and then rested his head against his chest, the steady thrum of Pond's heartbeat under his ear. Pond's hand settled on his waist, the thumb still circling, and the world narrowed to the two of them, the sea, the stars.

"I love you so much, Pond."

Pond sighed, the sound full of everything he didn't say. "I love you too, baby."

Inside the reception, Godji stood at the window, watching them. The string lights caught the flour-dusted creases of her apron, and her hand found the necklace at her throat — the small pendant with a photo of Phuwin inside, his smile caught in silver. She smiled, soft and private, and then she turned and walked away, the sound of the waves following her into the warm glow of the reception hall.

Godji's silhouette dissolved into the warm amber of the reception hall, and the door sighed shut behind her, leaving only the string lights and the sea. Phuwin watched the space where she'd stood, the pendant still warm against his own chest — the one with Soònào's photo, the silver cool against his skin beneath the white crop top. He pressed two fingers to it through the fabric, a small, private ritual, and felt the familiar weight of her there, watching, the way she always was.

The group had loosened into pairs, voices low and laughing, the waves a constant hush beneath their words. Siyh had Tai's hand swung between them, their fingers interlaced, and Santa was bent close to Perth, his glasses catching the light as Perth said something that made him duck his head, smiling. Taehyung and Jungkook stood hip to hip, not quite touching, but the space between them hummed with everything they'd finally said out loud.

Phuwin turned back to the sea, the ring on his finger catching the dim glow — the diamond, the rose gold, the rhinestones that winked like the stars scattered above them. He stretched his hand out again, turning it slowly, watching the light break across the stones. This was real. This was his. The thought pressed against his ribs, full and almost too much to hold.

Behind him, Pond's footsteps shifted in the sand, and Phuwin felt the warmth of him before he felt the hands — two palms settling on his shoulders, thumbs grazing the bare skin at his collarbone. Pond didn't speak. He just stood there, his breath warm against the back of Phuwin's neck, and together they watched the dark water roll in, patient and endless.

"I keep thinking," Phuwin said, his voice quiet, almost lost to the wind, "that I'm going to wake up."

Pond's thumbs stilled. "Wake up from what?"

"From this." Phuwin gestured vaguely at the sea, the lights, the circle of their friends. "From all of it. That I'll open my eyes and I'll be back in my room at Godji's, and none of this will have happened." He paused, the words catching. "That you'll be a dream I had."

Pond turned him, his hands sliding from Phuwin's shoulders to his jaw, tilting his face up. The string light caught the dark of his eyes, and his voice was low, rough. "Feel this." He pressed his thumb to Phuwin's bottom lip, a soft, deliberate pressure. "Am I a dream?"

Phuwin's breath caught. "No."

"No." Pond's thumb traced the curve of his lip, then fell away. "I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me, remember?"

Phuwin laughed, a small, wet sound, and leaned into the warmth of Pond's palm still cradling his jaw. "I remember."

Something shifted in Pond's expression — a flicker, there and gone, like a fish breaking the surface of dark water. His eyes tracked down Phuwin's face, then out to the sea, and for a moment he looked almost unreadable, the way he did when he was holding something back. Phuwin opened his mouth to ask, but Siyh's voice cut across the sand.

"Oi, you two! Stop being disgustingly cute and come here. We're doing a toast."

She was holding up a bottle of champagne, the neck already dripping with condensation, and the others were gathering around her, glass cups raised. Phuwin looked at Pond, who shrugged, the unreadable moment gone, replaced by the easy smile Phuwin knew. He took Phuwin's hand, their rings clicking softly together, and led him back to the circle.
