The Office Awaits

The door clicks shut behind me, and the lock turns with a sound that feels louder than it should, sealing the three of us in the warm lamplight of the principal's office. Chloe is already in her chair, her hands folded in her lap, but I see the way her fingers twist the hem of her sweater, and the blush on her cheeks deepens when our eyes meet. Eleanor rises from behind her desk, her navy suit immaculate, and gestures to the empty chair beside Chloe, her pen still tapping against the blotter where I know the damp circle is. "Marcus," she says, and her voice is calm, but I catch the flicker of something else in her eyes, something that makes my pulse quicken. "We're ready to begin. Are you?"

The lock turns with a sound that seems to fill the room, and I watch Eleanor's fingers linger on the mechanism for half a second longer than necessary. Tomorrow came faster than I was ready for, and the weight of last night's session sits in my chest like a stone I can't swallow. Chloe is already in her chair, her hands folded in her lap, but I see the way her fingers twist the hem of her sweater, and the blush on her cheeks deepens when our eyes meet. She looks smaller today somehow, softer, as if the scent of her own arousal on her fingers cracked something open in her that she can't close again.

Eleanor rises from behind her desk, her navy suit immaculate, and gestures to the empty chair beside Chloe. Her pen taps against the blotter where I know the damp circle is, the one Chloe left when she pressed her hand flat against the leather, desperate to anchor herself. "Marcus," she says, and her voice is calm, but I catch the flicker of something else in her eyes, something that makes my pulse quicken. "We're ready to begin. Are you?"

The question lands between us like a gauntlet thrown. I settle into the chair, the leather creaking under my weight, and I feel the heat of Chloe's presence beside me — the way her knee has drifted half an inch toward mine, the way her breath hitches when I shift. I'm aware of my own body in a way I haven't been in years, the fabric of my polo pulling across my shoulders, the weight of my hands on my thighs. "I'm here," I say, and my voice comes out rougher than I intended. "That's what I agreed to."

Eleanor's lips curve into something that isn't quite a smile. She picks up the folded list from the blotter, the paper creased where I left it untouched, and I watch her fingers smooth it open. The sight of her reading it makes my stomach tighten — the list I couldn't bring myself to look at, the one that holds the shape of what we're about to do. "Good," she says, her eyes scanning the page. "Because today's session is about trust. Not the kind you give a stranger. The kind you give someone who's seen you at your most vulnerable."

She looks up, her brown eyes finding mine, and there's something in them that makes the air in the room feel thinner. "Marcus, I need you to understand what we're doing here. Last night was about acknowledgment — Chloe feeling her own desire, naming it, accepting it. Today is about redirecting that desire. Teaching her body that it can trust you to meet it where it is, without shame, without flinching." She sets the list down on the blotter, her fingers resting on it like a promise. "That means you're going to have to let her see you, too."

Chloe shifts beside me, and I feel her gaze on my face before I turn to meet it. Her green eyes are wide, uncertain, but there's a hunger beneath the uncertainty that makes my throat go dry. "What does that mean?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper. "What do we—" She trails off, her fingers twisting the hem of her sweater again, and I watch her bite her lip hard enough to leave a mark.

Eleanor steps around the desk, her heels clicking softly against the floor, and stops in front of us. She kneels down, bringing herself to Chloe's eye level, and her voice drops to something intimate, almost conspiratorial. "It means you're going to learn to ask for what you need. Out loud. With him." She gestures toward me without looking away from Chloe. "And he's going to learn to hear it without flinching."

I feel the weight of that word — flinching — land in the space between us. Last night, I didn't flinch. I watched Chloe's fingers slide into her own slick heat and bring them to her nose, and I didn't look away. But the thought of her asking me for something, out loud, with Eleanor watching — that's a different kind of exposure. That's the part that makes my pulse pound against my collar. "And what exactly does she need to ask for?" My voice is steadier than I feel, and I see Eleanor's eyes flicker with something that looks almost like approval.

Eleanor rises, smoothing her skirt, and picks up the list. She doesn't read it aloud. Instead, she holds it out to Chloe, who takes it with trembling fingers. "Read the first line," Eleanor says, her voice soft but unyielding. "Out loud. To him."

Chloe looks down at the paper, her chest rising and falling in quick, shallow breaths. I watch her throat move as she swallows, and I feel the silence stretch between us like a wire pulled taut. When she speaks, her voice is barely audible, but the words land in the room like a stone dropped into still water. "I want you to touch me. Where I need it most." She looks up at me, her green eyes shining with something that's equal parts terror and want, and I feel my own hand tighten on my thigh. "Please."

The word hangs between us like smoke, and I realize I've stopped breathing. Eleanor's voice cuts through the silence, calm and clinical, but there's a warmth underneath that makes my skin prickle. "Before we begin, I want to try something different. Trust is built in the dark, Marcus. When you can't see, you have to feel." She moves to her desk and pulls two strips of black silk from the drawer, holding them up so they catch the fluorescent light. "Blindfolds. You'll sit on the rug, facing each other, and you'll learn to read each other without your eyes."

Chloe's breath catches beside me, and I watch her fingers still against the hem of her sweater. There's something in the way she's looking at the silk — like it's both a threat and a promise. Eleanor crosses to us and holds one out to me first. "You'll go first, Marcus. Let Chloe see you surrender control." The words land in my chest like a challenge, and I take the strip from her fingers, the fabric cool and impossibly soft against my calloused palm.

I tie it myself, pulling the knot tight at the back of my skull, and the world dissolves into darkness. The hum of the fluorescent light becomes louder, more present. I hear Eleanor's heels on the floor, the rustle of fabric as she guides Chloe to the rug, and then the soft sound of her kneeling beside me. "Your turn, Chloe." There's a pause, a held breath, and then the whisper of silk sliding through fingers.

"I can't see anything." Chloe's voice is small, almost frightened, and I feel her shift closer to me on the rug. The heat of her body radiates through the space between us, and I realize how close we are — close enough that I can smell the faint vanilla of her shampoo, the same scent that lingered in my truck for days after the first session. "That's the point," Eleanor says, her voice closer now, settling into a chair I hadn't heard her move. "You're going to touch yourself, Chloe. Just like yesterday. But this time, you're going to tell Marcus what you feel."

The silence that follows is thick enough to choke on. I hear Chloe's shaky exhale, the rustle of her jeans as she shifts, and then the unmistakable sound of her hand sliding beneath the waistband. My mouth goes dry. "I—" she starts, then stops. I hear her swallow. "My fingers are cold. I'm nervous, so they're cold. But the skin underneath is warm. Hot, even." Her voice trembles, but she keeps going, and I feel my own hands curl into fists on my thighs. "I'm touching myself through my underwear first. The cotton is soft, but I can feel how damp it is underneath. How wet I already am."

The word hits me like a physical blow, and I feel my cock harden against my jeans, thick and aching. I'm grateful for the blindfold — grateful she can't see the way my throat works, the way my breathing has gone shallow and uneven. "Good," Eleanor says, her voice steady and encouraging. "Keep going. Tell him what your fingers find."

There's a pause, and then Chloe's voice drops to something husky, almost surprised. "I'm pushing my underwear aside now. My fingers are touching bare skin, and it's slick — so slick that my fingers just slide. I'm tracing the outside first, the folds, and it feels like my whole body is clenching around nothing." She lets out a small, broken sound, and I feel my own hips twitch involuntarily. "It's so sensitive. Every touch makes me want more. I'm spreading myself open now, and I can feel how swollen I am. How much I need—" She stops, and I hear her breath hitch. "How much I need more than my own fingers."

The room tilts. I can hear the wet sound of her fingers moving against herself, slow and deliberate, and I realize my hands are gripping my thighs so hard that my knuckles ache. Eleanor's voice cuts through the haze, soft but pointed. "Marcus. Tell her what you're feeling. Not what you think she wants to hear. What you're actually feeling." The blindfold is suddenly a mercy and a curse — I can't see her, but I can hear everything, smell everything, feel the heat of her body like a furnace against my skin. "I'm hard," I say, and my voice comes out rough, almost broken. "I've been hard since she said 'where I need it most.' And I want to touch her so badly that my hands are shaking."

I hear Chloe's breath catch, and then the wet sound of her fingers stops. The silence stretches, and I feel her shift on the rug, moving closer until her knee brushes mine. "Then why don't you?" she whispers, and the question lands in the dark between us like a match struck against stone. I feel Eleanor lean forward in her chair, and I know she's watching us — watching me sit here in the dark, blindfolded, my stepdaughter's knee pressed against mine, her scent in my nose and her question burning a hole through my restraint.

The question detonates somewhere in my chest, and before I can think, before I can weigh the cost of what I'm about to do, my hand moves. It finds hers in the dark — small, trembling, still damp from where she touched herself — and our fingers lace together like they've been waiting for this exact moment. Her grip tightens immediately, desperate, and I feel the rapid flutter of her pulse against my palm. "Because I'm afraid," I admit, the words scraping out of me raw. "Afraid that if I touch you, I won't be able to stop."

The silence that follows is alive, breathing. I feel Chloe shift closer, her knee pressing harder against mine, and then her free hand finds my face — blindfolded, vulnerable — her fingers tracing the line of my jaw like she's memorizing me. "What if I don't want you to stop?" she whispers, and the words land in my gut like a fist. I hear Eleanor's sharp intake of breath from her chair, but she doesn't speak, doesn't interrupt. The air in the room has changed, thickened with something that feels inevitable.

"Then I need you to say it again." My voice is hoarse, barely recognizable. "Look at Eleanor — no, she can't see your eyes, but she can see you. Tell her what you want. Tell me what you want." I feel Chloe's hand slide from my jaw down to my chest, her fingers curling into the fabric of my polo, and I hear her take a shaky breath. "I want you to touch me," she says, and her voice is steadier now, almost defiant. "I want your hands on me, under my skirt, where I'm aching. I've wanted it since the first session. Since before that, if I'm honest."

The blindfold is suddenly unbearable. I reach up to tear it off, but Eleanor's voice stops me cold. "No. Keep it on. This is about trust, remember?" The rustle of her skirt tells me she's standing now, moving closer. "Chloe, guide his hand. Show him where you need him." I feel Chloe's fingers close around my wrist, small and warm, and she pulls my hand toward her lap. My knuckles brush the rough denim of her jeans first, then the hem of her sweater, and then — fabric that's softer, thinner. Silk. Her skirt.

My fingers find the hem of her skirt, and Chloe makes a sound — small, desperate — as my hand slides beneath the fabric. Her thighs are bare, warm, and I feel her muscles quiver under my touch. "Higher," she breathes, and her hand on my wrist guides me upward, past the sensitive skin of her inner thigh, until my fingers brush against the damp cotton of her underwear. She's soaked — I can feel the heat of her through the fabric, the slickness that's already soaked through. "Here," she whispers, pressing my hand harder against herself. "Please. Right here."

I slide my fingers beneath the edge of her underwear, and the contact is electric — bare skin, slick and swollen, impossibly hot against my calloused fingertips. Chloe gasps, her hips bucking involuntarily against my hand, and I feel her fingers dig into my forearm. I trace her folds slowly, reverently, feeling every ridge and crease, the way her body opens to me like a flower finally allowed to bloom. "You're so wet," I murmur, and I hear her whimper in response. "So ready. Is this what you wanted, Chloe? Is this what you needed?"

"Yes," she chokes out, her voice breaking. "God, yes. Don't stop. Please don't stop." Her hand covers mine, pressing my fingers deeper, and I feel her clit — hard, swollen, pulsing against my touch. I circle it slowly, deliberately, and her whole body shudders. "That's it," Eleanor's voice comes from somewhere above us, soft but present. "That's exactly it. You're doing so well, both of you. This is trust. This is surrender."

I feel Chloe's hand leave mine and slide beneath her own skirt, her fingers joining mine in the slick heat between her thighs. She spreads herself open for me, and I feel her guide my index finger to her entrance — not pushing inside, just resting there, feeling her body clench around nothing. "Please," she begs, and the word is a prayer, a plea, a demand. "I need you inside me. I need to feel you."

My finger slides into her slowly, and the sensation is overwhelming — her heat, her tightness, the way her body clenches around me like she's been waiting for this, for me. She cries out, a broken sound that's half pleasure, half relief, and I feel her walls flutter around my finger. I push deeper, adding a second finger, and she arches into my hand, her hips rocking against me. "That's it," I growl, my voice thick with want. "Take what you need, baby. Take all of it."

Her breathing is ragged now, her hand gripping my wrist hard enough to bruise, and I feel her body beginning to tremble. "I'm close," she gasps. "I'm so close — I've never — please, don't stop, I need —" Her words dissolve into a moan as I curl my fingers inside her, finding the spot that makes her whole body clench. "Let go," I tell her, my thumb finding her clit, pressing in slow circles. "Let me feel you come apart. Let me feel everything."

She shatters. Her body convulses around my fingers, her inner walls clenching in waves, and I feel her slick heat flood my palm as she cries out my name — not "Marcus," not "Dad," but a broken, desperate sound that's pure need. I keep moving through it, drawing out every last tremor, until she collapses against me, her forehead pressed to my shoulder, her breath coming in ragged gasps. In the silence that follows, I hear Eleanor's voice, soft and knowing: "Beautiful. That was beautiful. And this is only the beginning."

The silence after Eleanor's words stretches like taffy pulled thin, and I feel Chloe's breath against my shoulder, still ragged, still warm. I'm acutely aware of my fingers, slick with her, hovering in the space between us. Eleanor's heels click against the floor, a slow, deliberate rhythm that makes my spine straighten. "Chloe," she says, her voice carrying that same clinical warmth, "now it's your turn to help him."

I feel Chloe shift beside me, her knee brushing mine as she turns toward me in the dark. Her voice is small but steady when she asks, "What do I do?" I hear the rustle of Eleanor's skirt as she moves closer, and then her voice comes from directly above us. "Reach for him. Through his pants. Feel what he's feeling, and tell him what you find." The air leaves my lungs in a rush, and I feel my cock throb against my jeans, painfully hard, as if it's been waiting for this exact instruction.

Chloe's hand finds my thigh first — tentative, trembling — and I feel her fingers curl into the denim. She slides her palm upward slowly, deliberately, and I feel every inch of that journey like a brand through the fabric. "He's so warm," she murmurs, and I hear the surprise in her voice. "Even through his jeans, I can feel the heat coming off him." Her fingers reach the bulge of my erection, and she stops, her hand hovering there, and I hear her breath catch. "Oh. You're—you're so hard."

My jaw clenches so tight I feel the ache in my molars. "Yeah," I manage, the word scraping out of me. "That's what you do to me, Chloe. That's what you've been doing to me since the first session." I feel her fingers wrap around the shape of me through the denim, exploring, learning, and I have to grip the rug beneath me to keep from bucking into her hand. "He's straining against the fabric," she says, her voice husky now, almost reverent. "I can feel the outline of him. He's so big—"

Eleanor's voice cuts through the dark, soft but carrying an edge I haven't heard before. "Good. Now tell him what you want him to call you." I feel Chloe's hand still on my lap, and the silence that follows is thick enough to choke on. "What do you mean?" she asks, and I hear the uncertainty creeping back into her voice. "I mean," Eleanor says, "that trust is built on intimacy. And intimacy starts with names. From now on, you'll call him 'daddy.' It will help you surrender to his care, to his hands, to his guidance."

The word lands in the room like a grenade, and I feel the shock of it ripple through my chest. Daddy. The word she used to call the man who raised her, the man who married her mother, the man who is now sitting blindfolded on a rug with his stepdaughter's hand on his cock. I feel Chloe's fingers twitch against me, and I hear her swallow. "Daddy," she repeats, testing the word on her tongue like a foreign language. The sound of it in her voice, soft and uncertain, makes my hips twitch involuntarily.

Eleanor doesn't let the moment breathe. "Now ask him, Chloe. Ask him what you want to do." I feel Chloe shift closer, and her breath ghosts across my ear as she leans in. Her voice drops to a whisper, intimate and trembling. "Daddy," she breathes, and the word is different now, laden with something that makes my pulse pound against my collar. "Do you want me to take you out? I want to feel you. I want to touch you the way you touched me."

The question detonates in my chest, and I feel the weight of it pressing against my ribs. I want it — God, I want it — but I feel Eleanor's presence in the room like a third heartbeat, watching, waiting. "If I say yes," I rasp, "I'm not going to be able to stop. You understand that, right? Once you have your hand on me, I'm not going to be the one in control anymore." I feel Chloe's hand tighten on me, and her voice comes out steady, almost defiant. "What if I don't want you to be?"

The blindfold is a mercy and a curse. I can't see her face, can't read the expression in her green eyes, but I can feel the trembling in her fingers, the desperate heat of her body inches from mine. "Then unbutton my jeans," I say, and the words feel like surrender, like a door swinging open. I hear the soft click of the button, the rasp of the zipper, and then her hand slides inside, past the cotton of my boxers, and her fingers close around me — hot, slick, impossibly intimate. I groan, my head falling back, and I feel her breath catch as she explores the length of me.

"He's so warm," she whispers, and I feel her thumb trace the head of my cock, spreading the moisture she finds there. "So soft and so hard at the same time. I can feel him pulsing in my hand." Her grip tightens, and I feel a tremor run through my thighs. "Is this what you wanted, Chloe?" I ask, my voice ragged. "Is this what you needed?" I feel her nod against my shoulder, and then her voice comes out thick with something that sounds like tears. "Yes, daddy. This is exactly what I needed."

Her grip tightens around me, and I feel the slickness of her palm — her own arousal still glistening on her fingers from where she touched herself moments ago. The glide is obscene, perfect, and I feel my hips lift involuntarily into her fist. "That's it," I groan, my head falling back against the edge of the sofa. "Just like that, baby. Use what's already there." She does, her strokes slow and exploratory at first, learning the shape of me, the weight, the way I pulse against her fingers. The sound of it fills the room — wet, rhythmic, intimate — and I feel the blindfold grow damp against my skin from the heat of my own breath.

But the slickness fades. I feel it happen in real time — the glide turning tacky, then rough, her palm dragging against my shaft with a friction that makes me hiss through my teeth. Chloe hesitates, her strokes faltering, and I hear the uncertainty creep back into her breathing. "It's getting dry," she whispers, almost apologetically. "I'm sorry, I—" She pulls her hand away, and I feel the loss of her like a physical ache in my chest.

Eleanor's voice comes from somewhere to my left, calm and instructive. "That's normal, Chloe. Your body's moisture was never going to be enough for this. Spit on your hand." I hear Chloe's sharp intake of breath, the pause that follows, and then the unmistakable sound — a soft, wet noise as she gathers saliva in her mouth and lets it fall into her palm. "Good," Eleanor says, her voice carrying a note of approval. "Now try again. Slower this time. Let it warm up."

Her hand returns to me, and the difference is immediate — the saliva slick and warm against my skin, easing the glide. She strokes me from base to tip, her thumb circling the head, spreading the moisture until I'm glistening with it. "Is that better?" she asks, and I hear the hope in her voice, the desperate need to please. "God, yes," I manage, my voice barely a rasp. "You learn fast." I feel her smile against my shoulder, and her grip tightens, more confident now.

But even the spit isn't enough. I feel it drying too, the friction building again, and I hear Chloe's soft sound of frustration. "It's not—" she starts, then stops, pulling her hand back. "It's still not enough. I can't—" Her voice cracks, and I feel her shift away from me, the heat of her body receding. The loss of her is unbearable, and I hear myself make a sound I don't recognize — low, desperate, almost animal.

Eleanor rises from her chair, and I hear her heels cross the floor toward us. "Chloe," she says, her voice soft but commanding, "lean close. Right over him. I want you to spit directly onto his cock. Don't touch it with your hand first. Just let it fall." I feel Chloe's hesitation in the silence that follows, and then the shift of her body as she moves closer, her knees brushing mine. I feel her lean over me, her breath ghosting across my stomach, and then — a warm, wet drop lands on the head of my cock, followed by another, and another.

The sensation is electric — her saliva, warm and intimate, sliding down my shaft in slow rivulets. I hear her swallow, and then she spits again, directly onto me, and I feel the wetness pool at the base, trickling down to my balls. "Is that enough?" she whispers, and her voice is thick with something that sounds like reverence. "Or do you need more, daddy?" The word — daddy — lands in my gut like a fist, and I feel myself throb against the air, achingly hard.

"More," I grit out, and I feel her lean in again, closer this time. I feel her lips part, the warmth of her breath against my skin, and then she spits — a long, slow stream that coats me from tip to base, pooling in the cradle of my hips. I feel her hand close around me again, slick and perfect, and this time there's no hesitation, no faltering. She strokes me with a confidence that makes my thighs tremble, her thumb circling the head, her grip firm and sure.

I hear Eleanor's voice, soft and approving, from somewhere above us. "That's it, Chloe. You're learning to ask for what you need. To take it." I feel Chloe's hand tighten, and she leans down, her lips brushing against my ear. "I need you to come for me, daddy," she whispers, and the words are a command, a plea, a promise. "I need to feel it."

My hips buck, my hands fisting in the rug, and I feel the pressure building at the base of my spine like a dam about to break. "I'm close," I manage, my voice shattered. "So close—" I feel her grip quicken, her strokes relentless, and I hear her voice in my ear, soft and fierce: "Then let go. Let me have it."

The dam breaks. I come with a sound that's half groan, half prayer, my body shuddering as I spill into her hand, hot and thick, coating her fingers. She doesn't stop — she works me through it, drawing out every last drop until I'm trembling, spent, collapsing against her. In the silence that follows, I hear Eleanor's voice, soft and knowing: "Now we're ready for what comes next."

The silence after Eleanor's words is a living thing, and I feel Chloe's hand still wrapped around me, sticky and warm. I hear Eleanor's heels cross the floor, stopping directly in front of us. "Chloe," she says, her voice low and intimate, "I want you to bring your fingers to your lips. Taste him." I feel Chloe's hesitation — the pause that stretches like a held breath — and then the soft sound of her hand moving through the air. I can't see her, but I can hear the quiet, wet sound of her tongue against her own skin, and the small, surprised noise she makes in the back of her throat.

"It's—" she starts, then stops. I hear her swallow, and when she speaks again, her voice is husky, almost wondering. "It's salty. But not in a bad way. It's warm, and thick, and there's something underneath it — something sweet, almost. Like the way skin tastes after you've been in the sun all day." I feel her shift beside me, and I imagine her looking at Eleanor, seeking approval. "Is that right?"

Eleanor's voice carries a smile I can't see. "There's no right or wrong, Chloe. There's only what you taste, what you feel. Now I want you to share that with him." The words land in the dark between us, and I feel my pulse spike against my collar. "Share it," Eleanor repeats, softer now. "Lean close. Put your fingers to his lips. Let him taste what you tasted."

I feel Chloe's hand find my face in the dark, her fingers tracing my jaw before pressing gently against my mouth. I part my lips without thinking, and she slides two fingers inside — slick, salty, still warm from her mouth. The taste hits me like a memory of something I shouldn't want: salt and skin and the faint, musky sweetness of my own come mixed with her spit. I hear myself make a low sound, and I feel her fingers tremble against my tongue.

I close my lips around her fingers, tasting myself on her skin, and I feel her breath catch. "Is it different?" she whispers, and I can hear the curiosity in her voice, the hunger. "When you taste it on me?" I suck gently on her fingers, drawing the taste deeper, and I feel her shift closer, her knee pressing against mine. "It's different," I say, my voice rough. "It's better. Because it's yours now."

I feel her fingers slide out of my mouth, and the loss of them is sharp, immediate. Before I can mourn it, I feel her hand on my face again, her palm cupping my jaw, and then her lips are on mine — soft, tentative, tasting of salt and want. The kiss is clumsy and desperate, our teeth knocking, her breath hot against my skin, and I feel the blindfold grow damp against my cheeks. She pulls back just enough to whisper against my mouth, "I wanted to know what you taste like when I'm kissing you."

Eleanor's voice cuts through the haze, soft but pointed. "And what does he taste like, Chloe?" I feel Chloe's breath ghost across my lips as she answers, her voice thick with wonder. "Like something I've been missing my whole life. Like something I didn't know I was hungry for until I had it." I feel her hand slide from my jaw to my chest, her fingers curling into the fabric of my polo, and I hear Eleanor's approving hum from somewhere above us.

Eleanor's voice arrives like a hand on the back of my neck—firm, grounding, pulling me back from the edge of wherever Chloe's kiss had taken me. "Before we go further, we need to take care of each other. Clean up. Cover up. Still blindfolded." The words don't make sense at first, tangled as they are in the aftershock still humming through my body. But Chloe's hand is already sliding from my chest, and I hear the rustle of her shifting on the rug, the soft sound of her pulling her skirt back into place. I feel the wetness cooling on my fingers, the sticky evidence of what we've done, and I realize I have no idea where my own release went—whether it's on her hand, on the rug, on my jeans. The thought makes my throat tighten.

Eleanor's heels cross the floor, and I hear her open something—a drawer, a cabinet. "There's a box of wipes on the desk, Marcus. It's to your left, about two feet from the edge of the blotter. Reach for it." I do, my hand finding the smooth cardboard in the dark, and I hear her voice shift to Chloe. "And there's a towel beside you, draped over the arm of the sofa. Use it." The silence that follows is thick with the sound of fabric moving, of hands finding their way in the dark. I pull a wipe from the box and clean my fingers, the coolness of it a shock against my overheated skin.

I can't see a thing, but I can hear everything—the soft, wet sound of Chloe wiping between her thighs, the way her breath hitches when the fabric touches her still-sensitive skin. I feel my own body responding again, a dull throb of want that I have to shove down. "You did beautifully," Eleanor says, and I hear the warmth in her voice, the pride. "Both of you. But this is where we pause. The body needs to integrate what it's learned before it can take more." I hear her move closer, and then her hands are on the knot at the back of my head, her fingers working the silk loose. The blindfold falls away, and the light hits me like a physical blow.

I blink, my eyes adjusting, and the first thing I see is Chloe. She's kneeling on the rug, her blindfold still in place, her cheeks flushed and her lips swollen from our kiss. Her hands are folded in her lap, the towel still clutched between her fingers, and she looks smaller somehow—younger, fragile in a way that makes my chest ache. Eleanor moves behind her, gently untying the knot, and the silk slips from Chloe's face. Her green eyes blink up at me, wide and dazed, and I watch her take me in—the state of my shirt, the flush on my neck, the way my hands are still trembling in my lap.

"We're going to stop here for today," Eleanor says, and I hear the finality in her voice, the same tone she used when she told Chloe to smell her own arousal in the first session. "You both need time to sit with what happened. To let it settle. To let the wanting build." She crosses to her desk and picks up the folded list, tapping it against her palm like a metronome. "Tomorrow, we'll go further. But only if you're both ready." I feel the weight of her gaze on me, and I know she's not asking Chloe—she's asking me. Whether I can come back to this room, put the blindfold back on, and let my stepdaughter take me apart again.

Chloe stands, her legs unsteady, and I watch her smooth her sweater down over her hips. She looks at me, and there's something in her eyes that wasn't there before—a new kind of knowing, a hunger that's no longer hidden behind embarrassment or defiance. "Thank you," she says, and I'm not sure if she's talking to me or to Eleanor. Her voice is soft, raw, like she's been crying. "For not stopping. For not flinching." The words land in my chest like a stone dropped into deep water, and I feel my throat close up.

I stand too, my legs stiff from sitting on the rug, and I feel the ache in my knees, the dampness of my jeans against my thighs. Eleanor is watching us both, her pen tapping against the blotter, and I catch the flicker of something in her brown eyes—not approval, exactly, but something close to satisfaction. "Same time tomorrow," she says, and it's not a question. "The list will be waiting." I look at the folded paper in her hand, the creases worn from her fingers, and I realize I still haven't read it—haven't seen what else she has planned for us. The thought should terrify me. It does. But beneath the fear, there's something else, something that makes my pulse quicken in a way I don't want to name.

Chloe moves toward the door, and I watch her pause at the threshold, her hand on the frame. She looks back at me, and in the fluorescent light, I see the mark on her lip where she bit it—a small, raw crescent that I know I'll think about tonight, alone in my bed, replaying every sound she made. "Daddy," she says, soft enough that Eleanor might not hear, and the word lands in my gut like a match struck against dry grass. "See you tomorrow." She steps through the door, and I hear her footsteps fade down the hallway, leaving me alone with Eleanor and the folded list and the smell of her still in my nose.

Eleanor doesn't look up from her desk, but I feel her attention on me like a weight. "You're scared," she says, and it's not a question. "Good. Fear means you understand the stakes." She sets the list down, her fingers resting on it for a moment, and I watch her slide it into the drawer—the same drawer where she keeps her secrets. "But understand this, Marcus. What you felt today—that's not the edge. That's just the beginning of the approach. Tomorrow, I'm going to ask you to go somewhere you've never been." She finally looks up, and her brown eyes are sharp, unreadable. "The question is whether you're brave enough to follow."

I don't answer. I can't. I just turn and walk to the door, my legs still unsteady, my body still humming with the ghost of Chloe's touch. The hallway is empty, the fluorescent lights buzzing overhead, and I can still taste her on my lips—salt and want and the faint, musky sweetness of my own release. I press my palm against the wall to steady myself, and I feel the coolness of the paint against my overheated skin. Tomorrow, I tell myself. Tomorrow, I'll be ready. But even as I think it, I know it's a lie. There's no being ready for what Eleanor has planned. There's only surrendering to it, one blindfolded step at a time.
