Chapter 13 - An Artist At Work

The following evening Macy and Lupe go to the studio. Macy makes sure to wear Casey's panties. Casey sits on a couch sipping wine and says little. Macy, Lupe, and Em small talk while getting ready. Em tells them to be natural and try not to think about being watched. Macy and Lupe begin making out

The studio door swung shut behind us, and the weight of the room settled on my skin. Turpentine and dried paint, the same thick air I'd breathed when Em drew me naked. But tonight was different. Tonight I wore Casey's panties beneath my jeans—thin black lace that pressed against me with every step, a secret I carried like a pulse.

Lupe's hand found the small of my back, warm through my shirt. "This is nice," she said, her voice carrying that easy lilt she got when she was nervous and trying not to show it. "Bigger than I expected."

Em looked up from her easel, charcoal smudged across her knuckles. She wore black again, a loose sweater that hung off one shoulder, her dark hair falling across her face. "It's a studio. They're supposed to be big." She tilted her head, studying us both. "You brought wine?"

"We brought ourselves." Lupe drifted toward the worn leather stool in the center of the room, running her fingers over its cracked surface. It creaked under her weight as she settled onto it, her thick thighs pressing against the leather. "That's what you wanted, right?"

Em's mouth curved. "That's what Casey wanted."

At the sound of her name, I finally let myself look.

Casey sat on a low couch against the far wall, one leg crossed over the other, a glass of red wine held loosely in her long fingers. She'd changed out of her coaching clothes—dark slacks, a silk blouse the color of smoke, unbuttoned at the collar. Her blonde hair was down, falling past her shoulders, and her blue eyes tracked me with an attention that made my stomach tighten.

She didn't speak. Just raised the glass to her lips and took a slow sip, watching me over the rim.

"Coach—" I started, then caught myself. "Casey."

"Macy." Her voice was low, almost warm. "You look nice."

The words landed somewhere in my chest, a small fire catching. I'd dressed carefully—a loose blouse that fell off one shoulder, jeans that hugged my hips, and beneath them, the lace she'd given me. Her panties against my skin, a claim I'd worn all day, through class and dinner and the walk across campus.

"Thank you," I managed.

Lupe glanced between us, a knowing smile tugging at her mouth. "Should I leave you two alone?"

"No." Casey's voice was firm, but not unkind. "Em's the artist tonight. I'm just—" she gestured with her glass, "—an observer."

Em laughed, a low sound that vibrated through the room. "Sure you are. You're the most observant person I know." She turned back to her easel, adjusting a canvas with careful hands. "Okay. Here's how this works. You two make yourselves comfortable. Be natural. Try not to think about being watched."

"That's impossible," Lupe said, but she was smiling, shifting on the stool, her hands resting on her thighs.

"That's the point." Em picked up a stick of charcoal, testing its weight. "The best drawings come from people who stop performing and just—exist. The moment you forget I'm here, that's when I get the real you."

I moved toward the stool, my heart hammering against my ribs. The dust motes drifted through the shaft of late afternoon sun, catching the light, spinning slow and gold. I could smell my own perfume—something floral I'd dabbed on before leaving, nervous and hopeful—mingling with the turpentine and paint.

"Where should I—" I started.

"Next to her." Casey's voice cut through, quiet but certain. "On the floor, maybe. Or leaning against the stool. Whatever feels natural."

I looked at Lupe. She was watching me with those dark eyes, patient and open, her long black hair falling over her shoulders. She patted the floor beside the stool, and I lowered myself onto the worn boards, my shoulder brushing her knee.

The contact sent a small shock through me. Her skin was warm, solid, real.

"There," Em said softly. "That's good. That's—" she made a small sound, already sketching. "Don't move."

I tried not to move. I tried to breathe.

The room settled into a strange stillness. Em's charcoal scratched against paper, a rhythm like rain. Casey shifted on the couch, and I heard the small sound of her wine glass being set down on something—a table, maybe, or the arm of the couch. I didn't look. I kept my eyes on Lupe's knee, on the worn denim of her jeans, on the way her hand rested there, fingers splayed.

"You're thinking too hard," Em said, not looking up from her canvas. "Macy. You're holding your breath."

I exhaled, a shaky sound. "Sorry."

"Don't apologize. Just—" she gestured vaguely with the charcoal, "—breathe. Look at her. Touch her if you want to. This isn't a photograph. It's a drawing. It's alive."

Touch her. The words hung in the air, heavy with permission.

Lupe's hand found mine, her fingers sliding between my own, interlacing. The contact was deliberate, warm, a small anchor. I felt the calluses on her palm, the strength in her grip. She squeezed once, a question.

I squeezed back. An answer.

"Good," Em murmured. "That's—yes. Hold that."

I could feel Casey's eyes on us. Not the charcoal scratch of Em's attention, but something heavier, more deliberate. I didn't look at her. I kept my gaze on Lupe, on the way the late sun caught her profile, the curve of her jaw, the softness of her mouth.

"You're beautiful," I said, without meaning to.

Lupe's lips parted. A small, surprised sound escaped her. "You're the one who's beautiful."

"Both of you," Em said, "are making this very easy."

I laughed, a nervous sound that broke the tension. Lupe laughed too, her shoulders relaxing, her hand tightening around mine.

"She's good at that," Lupe said, nodding toward Em. "Making you forget you're being watched."

"I'm not forgetting," I said. "I'm just—" I paused, searching for the word. "—choosing not to care."

Casey made a sound. A small hum of approval, barely audible. I felt it more than heard it, a vibration through the floorboards, through the air between us.

"That's the right answer," she said, her voice low and smooth as the wine she'd been drinking. "That's exactly the right answer."

I finally looked at her. She was leaning back on the couch, one arm draped along the back, her glass held loosely in her other hand. Her eyes were half-lidded, watching me with an intensity that made my breath catch. She wasn't looking at the drawing. She was looking at me. Only me.

"You're not going to watch Em sketch?" I asked, my voice thinner than I wanted it to be.

"I'm watching something better." She took a sip of wine, her lips parting against the glass. "I'm watching you."

The words landed like a touch, like a hand pressed against the small of my back. I felt heat rise up my neck, spreading across my cheeks. Lupe's thumb traced a slow circle against my palm, grounding me.

"You're blushing," Lupe whispered, not unkindly.

"I know." I swallowed. "I can't help it."

"That's the best part," Em said, her charcoal moving faster now. "The blush. The way you look at her. The way she looks back." She paused, tilting her head. "Casey, you're not going to distract them, are you?"

"Distract them?" Casey's voice was innocent, but her eyes weren't. "I'm just sitting here. Drinking my wine. Observing."

"You're doing more than observing."

"Am I?"

Em laughed, a low, knowing sound. "You're doing that thing you do. That—" she gestured vaguely, "—presence. The way you fill a room without moving."

Casey didn't deny it. She just smiled, slow and satisfied, and took another sip of wine.

I felt the weight of that smile like a physical thing. The lace of her panties pressed against me, a reminder of where I was, whose I was. I shifted on the floor, trying to find a comfortable position, and felt the fabric move against my skin. A small, secret friction.

"Macy." Em's voice was patient. "You're fidgeting."

"Sorry." I tried to still myself, to settle into the moment. Lupe's hand was warm in mine, her knee solid against my shoulder. The dust motes spun in the sun. The turpentine smell wrapped around us like a blanket.

I looked at Lupe. Really looked at her. The dark sweep of her lashes, the full curve of her mouth, the way her chest rose and fell with each breath. She was so beautiful it almost hurt.

"I love you," I said, the words slipping out before I could stop them.

Lupe's eyes widened. A slow smile spread across her face, warm and bright. "I love you too."

"That's it," Em breathed. "That's the moment."

I leaned closer without thinking, drawn by something I couldn't name. Lupe's hand came up to my face, cupping my jaw, her thumb tracing the line of my cheekbone. Her touch was gentle, reverent, like I was something precious.

"You're shaking," she said softly.

"I know." I was. A fine tremor ran through me, not from fear, but from the weight of the moment. Casey's eyes on us. Em's charcoal moving. Lupe's hand on my face.

"It's okay," Lupe whispered. "I've got you."

She leaned down, and I tilted my face up, and our lips met.

The kiss was soft at first, tentative, a question asked with breath. Her lips were warm against mine, tasting faintly of the mint tea she'd had before we left the dorm. I felt her hand slide from my jaw to the back of my neck, pulling me closer, and I went willingly, leaning into her warmth.

Somewhere behind us, I heard Casey set down her wine glass. The sound was small, deliberate, a signal I felt more than heard. And Em's charcoal paused, the scratch of it falling silent.

But I didn't stop. I couldn't. Lupe's mouth was soft and patient against mine, and her other hand found my waist, pulling me up, drawing me into her lap. I went, my knees finding the floor on either side of her thighs, my hands coming up to frame her face.

She kissed me deeper, her tongue tracing the seam of my lips, asking for entry. I opened for her, and she slipped inside, slow and sweet, a taste that made my head swim. Her fingers curled in my hair, and I made a small sound against her mouth—a whimper, a plea, something I couldn't name.

"That's it," I heard Em whisper, barely audible over the rush of blood in my ears. "That's what I wanted to capture."

And I knew, somewhere beneath the heat and the hunger, that this was only the beginning. Casey was watching. Em was drawing. And I was exactly where I was supposed to be—in Lupe's arms, my lips parted against hers, the lace of Casey's panties a secret pressure against my skin, waiting for whatever came next.

I tilted my mouth harder against Lupe's, my fingers sliding into her hair, gripping the dark silk of it. She made a low sound into my kiss, her hands moving from my waist to my hips, pulling me tighter against her on the stool. The leather creaked beneath us, a small protest, and I felt the heat of her thighs through our jeans, solid and real.

"Macy," she breathed against my lips, her voice rough. "We're—"

"I don't care." I kissed her again, deeper, my tongue sliding against hers. "Let them watch."

Her hands tightened on my hips, fingers digging in. "Yeah," she whispered. "Yeah, okay."

I felt her hands move to the hem of my blouse, sliding beneath the fabric, her palms hot against my stomach. I gasped into her mouth, my hips bucking forward involuntarily. She laughed, a soft, breathless sound, and tugged the blouse up, over my ribs.

"Lift your arms," she said, and I did, letting her pull it over my head. The air hit my bare skin, raising goosebumps. I was wearing only a thin lace bra—not the sports bra I'd worn to the studio, but something softer, darker, chosen for tonight.

Lupe's eyes dropped to my chest. Her tongue touched her lower lip. "Fuck, Macy."

"Your turn." I reached for the hem of her shirt, but she caught my wrists, gentle but firm.

"Not yet," she said. "I want to look at you first."

Her hands came up to my bra, her fingers tracing the lace edge where it met my skin. I shivered, my breath catching. She was so slow, so deliberate, her eyes on me the whole time, watching my face as her thumbs brushed over my nipples through the fabric.

"You're so beautiful," she murmured. "I could look at you forever."

Behind us, I heard the soft creak of the couch. Casey shifting. I didn't look. I kept my eyes on Lupe, on the way her dark lashes lowered as she watched her own hands move over me.

She unclasped my bra with one hand, a practiced motion, and the lace fell away. The air hit my breasts, and I felt my nipples tighten, hard and aching. Lupe made a small sound, almost reverent, and lowered her mouth to one of them.

I gasped, my hands flying to her shoulders. Her tongue was hot and wet against my skin, tracing a slow circle around my nipple before she took it into her mouth, sucking gently. My head fell back, a moan escaping me.

"That's it," Em's voice came from somewhere far away, barely registering. "That's perfect. Hold that pose."

I didn't hold anything. I let my head fall forward, watching Lupe's mouth work at my breast, her dark hair spilling over her face, over my skin. Her hand came up to cup my other breast, her thumb rubbing the nipple, and I whimpered, my hips grinding against her thigh.

"I want to feel you," I managed, my voice thin. "I want to take your clothes off."

She pulled back, her lips glistening, her eyes dark. "Then do it."

I reached for the hem of her shirt, and this time she let me. I pulled it up, over her ribs, over the soft swell of her breasts, and she lifted her arms to let me take it off her. She wasn't wearing a bra. Her breasts were full and dark, her nipples already hard, and I lowered my mouth to one of them without thinking.

She gasped, her hands fisting in my hair. "Fuck, Macy."

I sucked her nipple into my mouth, tasting salt and something sweeter, her skin warm against my tongue. She arched into me, a low moan rumbling in her chest, and I felt the vibration through my lips. Her hands tightened in my hair, pulling me closer, and I went willingly, my mouth moving from one breast to the other, licking, sucking, biting gently.

"Enough," she breathed. "I need to feel you. All of you."

She slid off the stool, pulling me down with her, and we sank to the floor together, a tangle of limbs and bare skin. The worn boards were hard beneath my knees, rough against my thighs. Lupe was on top of me, her weight warm and solid, her mouth finding mine again.

Her hands moved to my jeans, fumbling with the button. I helped her, my own fingers shaking, and together we pushed them down my hips, over my thighs, past my knees. The air hit my legs, and I felt the lace of Casey's panties against my skin, a thin barrier between me and everything.

Lupe pulled back, looking down at me. Her eyes went wide.

"Macy," she said slowly. "Those aren't—"

I knew what she was seeing. The black lace, the delicate fabric, the way it barely covered anything. Casey's panties, worn all day beneath my jeans, a secret claim pressed against me.

"They're Casey's," I said, my voice barely a whisper.

Lupe's jaw tightened. For a moment, I saw something flicker in her eyes—something I couldn't name. Then her mouth curved, slow and wicked.

"You've been wearing her panties all day?"

I nodded, my cheeks burning.

"Under your clothes. To the studio. To this."

"Yes."

Lupe's hand came down, her fingers tracing the lace at my hip. "She's marking you," she said. "Even here. Even now."

"I know."

"And you like it."

It wasn't a question. I didn't answer. I didn't have to.

Lupe leaned down, her mouth brushing my ear. "I like it too," she whispered. "I like knowing you're hers. And I like knowing you're mine."

She hooked her fingers under the waistband of the panties, pulling them down my hips, over my thighs, past my knees. The lace slid away, leaving me bare, exposed, the air cool against my skin. I heard a sharp intake of breath from somewhere behind us—Casey, watching. I didn't look. I couldn't.

Lupe settled between my thighs, her hands on my knees, pushing them apart. I let her. I wanted her. Her mouth was hot against my inner thigh, trailing slow kisses up toward the place where I ached for her.

"Please," I heard myself say. "Lupe, please."

She looked up at me, her eyes dark and hungry. "Please what?"

"Please touch me. I need—"

"I know what you need." She lowered her mouth to my cunt, and I cried out, my hips bucking against her face.

Her tongue was hot and flat against me, licking a slow, deliberate stripe from my entrance to my clit. I shuddered, my hands flying to her hair, gripping the dark strands. She moaned against me, the vibration sending a shock through my whole body.

"Fuck," I gasped. "Fuck, Lupe."

She laughed, a low, throaty sound against my skin, and did it again. And again. Each pass of her tongue sent sparks through me, building a heat that coiled low in my belly, demanding more.

"I want to taste you too," I managed, my voice ragged. "I want to—"

She pulled back, her chin glistening, her lips wet. "Then come here."

We shifted on the floor, a clumsy tangle of limbs, until I was above her, my thighs straddling her shoulders, her mouth at my cunt and mine at hers. The position was awkward at first, unfamiliar, my knees pressing into the worn boards, my hands bracing against her thighs.

And then her tongue touched me again, and I stopped thinking.

I lowered my mouth to her, tasting her for the first time. She was slick and hot, her clit swollen against my tongue. I licked her slowly, learning her, and she gasped beneath me, her thighs trembling.

"Macy," she breathed. "Macy, yes."

I found a rhythm, licking and sucking, my tongue circling her clit. She arched into me, her hands gripping my thighs, pulling me tighter against her mouth. She was devouring me, her tongue thrusting into me, her lips closing around my clit, and I moaned into her cunt, the vibration making her shudder.

"Oh god," she whimpered. "Oh god, Macy, don't stop."

I didn't stop. I couldn't. The taste of her was intoxicating, sweet and musky, and the sounds she was making—the small, desperate whimpers, the way she gasped my name—were driving me wild. I sucked her clit into my mouth, flicking it with my tongue, and she cried out, her hips grinding against my face.

She was doing the same to me, her tongue relentless, her fingers sliding inside me, curling against a spot that made my vision blur. I moaned around her, my whole body shaking, the heat building and building until I thought I might shatter.

"I'm close," I gasped against her. "Lupe, I'm so close."

"Me too," she breathed. "Come with me. Come on my tongue."

Her fingers thrust into me, deep and sure, and her mouth closed over my clit, sucking hard. I came apart, a scream tearing from my throat, my hips bucking against her face as waves of pleasure crashed through me. I felt her come too, her body convulsing beneath me, her cry muffled against my thigh.

We lay there for a moment, trembling, breathing hard, our bodies tangled together on the worn floor of Em's studio. I could taste her on my lips, feel the echo of my own release still pulsing through me.

Em's voice came from somewhere above us, distant and focused. "That's it. That's perfect. Hold that position."

Hold it. The words registered somewhere beneath the heat still pulsing through my thighs, the aftershocks of my release still rippling through my belly. Lupe's mouth was still pressed against me, her tongue lapping lazily at my clit, and I could feel her breath hot and steady against my skin. She hadn't pulled away. She wasn't going to.

I lowered my mouth back to her, finding her slick and swollen, still trembling from her own orgasm. Her thighs clamped around my head for a moment, then relaxed, letting me in. I licked her slowly, a long, flat stroke from her entrance to her clit, and she shuddered beneath me, a low moan vibrating through her body.

"That's it," Em repeated, her charcoal scratching against the canvas. "Don't rush. Just—stay there. Let it build again."

So we did.

There was no urgency now. No frantic grabbing, no desperate fumbling. We settled into a rhythm that was almost meditative, my tongue tracing slow circles around her clit while hers did the same to me. The worn boards pressed into my knees, but I barely felt them. The turpentine smell had faded into the background, replaced by the taste of her, the smell of us, the warm musk of sex hanging in the air.

Minutes passed. Maybe more. Time had stopped meaning anything.

Lupe's fingers found my hip, tracing lazy patterns on my skin. She wasn't gripping, wasn't pulling. Just touching, grounding me, letting me know she was there. I did the same, my hand sliding up her thigh, feeling the smooth warmth of her skin, the subtle flex of muscle beneath.

I lost myself in the rhythm of it. The way her clit swelled against my tongue when I found the right pressure. The way her breath hitched when I sucked gently. The way her whole body relaxed when I licked her slowly, deliberately, the way she'd taught me without words.

And she was doing the same to me.

I felt myself building again, the heat coiling low in my belly, spreading outward through my limbs. But it was different this time. Slower. Deeper. Less like a wave crashing and more like a tide rising, inexorable, unstoppable.

I moaned against her, the sound muffled by her flesh, and felt her respond, her hips tilting into my mouth. The cycle began without either of us planning it. My moan became a vibration against her clit, and she gasped, her own pleasure spiking. The sound of her gasp sent a shiver through me, and I moaned again, louder this time, which made her gasp again.

We were feeding each other. Her pleasure became my pleasure, my sounds became her fuel. Each orgasm built on the last, not separate events but one continuous wave, cresting and falling and cresting again.

"Oh," she breathed, her voice thin and reedy. "Oh, Macy, I'm—"

She came again, her thighs clamping around my head, her body arching off the floor. I felt her pulse against my tongue, felt the hot gush of her release, and the sound she made—a high, keening cry that seemed to come from somewhere deep in her chest—sent me over the edge with her.

I came without touching myself, without any stimulation except the sound of her pleasure and the taste of her on my tongue. My whole body convulsed, my hips grinding against her face, and she swallowed me, her tongue thrusting deep as I rode out the wave.

When it subsided, I collapsed against her thigh, my cheek pressed to her slick skin, my breath ragged. She was trembling beneath me, her hands buried in my hair, her chest heaving.

"Again," she whispered. "Don't stop. Please don't stop."

I didn't stop.

I couldn't have stopped if I'd wanted to. The cycle had taken over, my body moving on its own, my tongue finding her clit again, lapping at her with a hunger I didn't recognize. She was the same, her mouth never leaving me, her fingers sliding inside me, curling, finding that spot that made my vision blur.

The room had disappeared. The studio, the easel, the dust motes, the smell of turpentine—all gone. There was only Lupe's body beneath me, Lupe's mouth on me, Lupe's sounds filling my ears. And somewhere behind us, the scratch of charcoal, the whisper of a witness, the weight of Casey's gaze.

I didn't care.

I was somewhere else now, somewhere deep and dark and warm, where the only thing that existed was sensation. The pleasure had become a river, flowing through me, carrying me along, and I had no desire to fight it. I let it take me. I let it drown me.

Lupe's fingers thrust into me, three of them now, stretching me, filling me. I moaned around her clit, and she cried out, her body bucking against my face. The sound of her cry triggered something in me, a surge of heat that built and built until I couldn't contain it.

I came again, harder than before, my whole body seizing, my vision going white. I felt her come with me, felt her shudder beneath me, her mouth locked onto my clit, drinking me down.

And still, we didn't stop.

Minutes blurred into each other. Orgasms blurred into each other. I lost count of how many times I came, how many times she came. It didn't matter. The only thing that mattered was the rhythm, the cycle, the endless feedback loop of pleasure and sound and touch.

Her taste was in my mouth, on my tongue, coating my lips. My thighs were slick with my own release, with hers. The floor was wet beneath us, a testament to how long we'd been here, how far we'd gone.

And somewhere in the middle of it, I felt my mind go blank.

Not the blank of exhaustion, not the blank of distraction. Something deeper. Something total. The constant chatter in my head—the thoughts about Casey, about the drawing, about what this meant, about what would happen next—all of it fell away, leaving nothing but sensation.

I was pure body. Pure pleasure. Pure hunger.

Lupe was the same. I could feel it in the way she moved, the way she moaned, the way her tongue worked against me with a single-minded focus that matched my own. We weren't two people anymore. We were one organism, one machine of pleasure, endlessly recycling each other's ecstasy.

She came again, and the sound she made—a low, guttural cry that seemed to come from the very bottom of her soul—sent me over the edge with her. I came without warning, without buildup, a sudden, violent release that left me gasping, my whole body convulsing against her face.

And then, finally, mercifully, we slowed.

My tongue stilled against her. Her mouth stilled against me. We lay there, tangled together on the worn floor of Em's studio, breathing hard, trembling, soaked with each other's desire.

I lifted my head, my lips slick, my jaw aching. Lupe looked up at me, her eyes glassy, her mouth wet, a slow, dazed smile spreading across her face.

"Hi," she whispered.

"Hi," I whispered back.

"That was—" she started, then stopped, shaking her head. "I don't have words."

"Me neither."

I lowered my head to her thigh, resting my cheek against her warm skin. She stroked my hair, her fingers gentle, almost reverent.

"Done," Em's voice came from somewhere far away. "It's done."

I didn't move. I couldn't. My body felt like it belonged to someone else, like I was floating somewhere above myself, watching from a great distance.

"Let me see it," Casey said, her voice low and rough.

I heard the rustle of fabric, the creak of the couch. I still didn't move. I couldn't.

There was a long silence. Then Casey spoke again, her voice different now. Softer. Almost reverent.

"Em. This is—" She paused. "This is incredible."

"You're not looking at the drawing," Em said, a smile in her voice. "You're looking at them."

"I'm looking at both."

Casey's hand lifted from the drawing, her fingers curling in a slow beckoning motion. Two fingers, a crook, a command. The gesture was small, almost casual, but it landed in my chest like a starting gun.

"Come here, Macy."

My body moved before my mind caught up. I pushed myself up on trembling arms, my thighs slick and shaky, my skin still flushed and overheated from everything we'd just done. Lupe's hand slid off my back as I crawled forward, and I heard her breath catch, heard the shift of her naked body on the floor as she turned to watch.

I crawled.

Not walked, not stood. Crawled, on hands and knees, across the worn boards of Em's studio, past the easel with its charcoal witness, past the dust motes swirling in the late afternoon light. My knees pressed into the wood, my palms flat, my body moving in a rhythm that felt older than thought.

Casey sat on the leather couch, legs spread, elbows on her knees, watching me come to her. Her blue eyes were dark, hooded, fixed on me with an intensity that made my skin prickle. The polo shirt clung to her shoulders, the ponytail tight against her skull, and she looked exactly like what she was: a predator, patient, waiting for her prey to deliver itself.

I stopped at her feet. Her sneakers were planted on the floor, and I could smell her, the faint musk of her skin, the trace of something floral beneath it. I didn't look up. I couldn't. My head hung low, my hair falling forward, my breath coming in shallow gasps.

Her hand landed on the back of my neck. Her fingers were warm, calloused from years of holding stopwatches and clipboards, and they curled around the curve of my skull with a possessive gentleness that made my eyes sting.

"Good pet," she murmured.

The words went through me like a current. I felt them in my nipples, in my clit, in the hollow of my throat. A sound escaped me, something between a whimper and a sigh, and her fingers tightened in response.

"Look at you," she said, her voice low, almost wondering. "Crawling to me across the floor. Covered in your girlfriend's come. Still hungry."

I didn't answer. I couldn't. She tilted my chin up with her thumb, forcing me to meet her eyes, and the heat in them made my breath catch.

"You came for me," I whispered. "You watched."

"I watched you come apart." Her thumb traced my lower lip, pressing slightly, and I parted my mouth without thinking. "I watched you eat her out until she screamed. I watched her swallow you down. And I watched you both forget I was here."

"We didn't forget."

"You did." She smiled, a slow, knowing curve that didn't reach her eyes. "That's what I wanted. That's what I needed to see."

Her hand slid from my chin to the back of my head, fingers threading through my short hair, and she pulled me forward. I went willingly, my body already leaning into her, my mouth already open.

She kissed me.

It wasn't gentle. It wasn't tentative. It was a claiming, her tongue pushing past my lips, sliding against mine, tasting. I felt her explore my mouth, felt her tongue sweep along my teeth, felt her groan vibrate through her chest and into mine. She tasted Lupe on me, I knew she did, and she didn't pull away. She pressed deeper, harder, her hand fisting in my hair, holding me in place.

I moaned against her mouth, and she swallowed the sound, her tongue thrusting in rhythm with something I couldn't see, couldn't hear, could only feel. Her other hand came up to cup my jaw, tilting my head for a better angle, and she kissed me like she was drinking me down.

When she finally pulled back, I was gasping, my lips swollen, my whole body trembling. A thin string of saliva connected our mouths, catching the light, and she wiped it from my chin with her thumb.

"She tastes good on you," Casey said, her voice rough. "I could taste her the moment I got past your lips."

I didn't know what to say. I just knelt there, my hands on her knees, my body still vibrating with the aftershocks of everything we'd done.

Behind me, I heard Lupe shift on the floor. I turned my head, just slightly, and saw her lying on her side, propped on one elbow, watching us with a dazed, blissful expression. Her dark hair was spread around her head, her skin gleaming with sweat, her thighs still slick and red from my mouth. She looked wrecked. She looked beautiful.

"She's watching," I whispered.

"I know." Casey's hand slid down my back, tracing my spine, settling on the curve of my ass. "I want her to."

Her fingers found the crease where my thigh met my ass, and I felt her touch the slick evidence of everything we'd done. Lupe's come and mine, mixed together, coating my skin. Casey's fingers slid through it, slow, deliberate, and I heard her breath hitch.

"So wet," she murmured. "So messy. You and her, you made a mess on Em's floor."

"I'm sorry—"

"Don't be." Her fingers pressed deeper, finding my cunt, sliding inside me with a sudden, shocking fullness. I gasped, my hips bucking forward, and she smiled. "I told you to let go. I told you to forget I was here. You did exactly what I asked."

Her fingers curled inside me, finding the spot that made my vision blur, and I gripped her knees, my nails digging into the fabric of her track pants.

"Casey—"

"Shh." She pressed her thumb against my clit, circling slowly, and I bit my lip to keep from crying out. "I'm not done with you yet."

I looked at her, my eyes wide, my breath coming in short, sharp gasps. Her blue eyes were fixed on me, watching every flicker of my face, every twitch of my hips.

"I came to see if you could do it." Her fingers thrust deeper, harder, and I moaned. "If you could really let go. If you could really give yourself to her like that, in front of me, without holding back."

"I did."

"You did." She smiled, slow and satisfied. "You showed me everything, pet. You showed me how much you want her. How much you need her."

"And you?" The words came out before I could stop them, raw and desperate. "Do you—"

"Do I what?" Her thumb pressed harder, and my hips bucked. "Do I want you? Do I need you?"

I nodded, unable to speak, my whole body trembling on the edge.

She leaned in, her mouth brushing my ear, her breath hot against my skin. "I watched you eat her out for an hour. I watched her come on your face. I watched you lose yourself so completely that you forgot I was in the room." Her teeth grazed my earlobe, and I shuddered. "Do you think I would have stayed if I didn't want you? If I didn't need to see exactly what you look like when you let go?"

Her fingers curled inside me, pressing against that spot, and I came with a cry, my body convulsing, my vision going white. She held me through it, her fingers working me through the waves, her other hand gripping my hip to keep me from collapsing.

When I finally came down, I was slumped against her, my forehead pressed to her shoulder, my breath ragged and wet. She pulled her fingers out of me, slow and deliberate, and I felt the loss like a physical ache.

"Look at me," she said.

I lifted my head. Her fingers were slick with my come, and she raised them to her lips, tasting me slowly, her eyes never leaving mine.

"You taste like her," she said. "Like Lupe. Like the two of you, mixed together."

I shuddered. Behind me, I heard Lupe make a small sound, and I knew she was watching, knew she was seeing Casey taste me on her fingers, knew she was feeling the same heat I felt.

Casey's hand slid to my chin, tilting my face up. "You're mine, Macy. You know that, right?"

"Yes."

"And she's yours." Her thumb traced my lower lip. "The way she watched you crawl to me. The way she's watching now. She loves you."

"I know."

"Good." Casey leaned in and kissed me again, softer this time, almost tender. "Because I'm going to need you both."

Casey's hand left my chin and lifted, one finger curling in a silent summons. I felt Lupe move behind me before I saw her, the rustle of her skin against the leather floor, the soft pad of her knees as she crawled forward to settle beside me. Her shoulder pressed against mine, warm and solid, and I felt her breath on my neck—quick, shallow, still riding the aftershocks of everything we'd done on Em's floor.

"Closer," Casey said. Not a command. An expectation.

Lupe shifted, and I shifted with her, both of us moving until our heads rested against Casey's knees. The worn denim of her track pants was rough against my cheek, and I could smell her—sweat and soap and something underneath, something that made my stomach clench. Lupe's hair brushed my forehead, and I felt her hand find mine, fingers interlacing, holding on.

Casey's hand settled on the back of my head, fingers threading through my short hair with a slow, possessive weight. Her other hand did the same to Lupe, and I felt the moment her touch landed—Lupe's whole body went still, then soft, a sigh escaping her lips.

"Em," Casey said, her voice carrying across the studio. "Bring the picture closer."

I heard the rustle of paper, the careful footsteps of the goth girl as she crossed the room. The charcoal drawing—the one of me and Lupe, the one Em had been sketching while we'd made love on her floor—appeared in my peripheral vision, held in Em's pale hands. I turned my head slightly, and there it was: two bodies tangled together, dark and light, the curve of Lupe's back and the arch of mine, the raw, honest line of it. Em had captured something I didn't know I'd shown her.

"Put it on the easel," Casey said. "I want to see it while I watch you."

Em obeyed. I heard the creak of the wooden easel, the soft thump of the drawing being set in place. And then she was standing there, a few feet away, her black-painted nails fidgeting at the hem of her fishnet sleeve, her dark eyes flicking between Casey and the floor and back again.

I could see it in her posture—the way her shoulders had drawn up, the way her breath came a little too fast. She was aroused. I could smell it on her, that sharp, sweet musk that I knew now, that I'd learned to recognize in Lupe and in myself. The air in the studio had shifted, thickened, and Em was standing in the middle of it, her hands clasped in front of her like she didn't know what to do with them.

"Come here," Casey said.

Em stepped forward, her combat boots silent on the floor. She stopped just out of arm's reach, and I watched her swallow, watched the bob of her throat beneath the silver chain she wore.

Casey's hand left my head and reached out, fingers curling around Em's wrist. She tugged, gently, and Em stepped closer, close enough that I could see the faint tremor in her jaw, the way her pupils had blown wide and dark.

"You've been watching all afternoon," Casey said, her voice low, almost soft. "You've been drawing them. Watching them touch each other. Watching them come."

Em's breath hitched. "Yes."

"And you didn't touch yourself once."

"No."

"Good girl."

Em's whole body shivered at the words, and I felt my own cunt clench in sympathy. I knew that shiver. I'd felt it on my skin, in my bones, the first time Casey had called me that.

Casey's hand slid from Em's wrist to her chin, tilting her face up. Em's lips were parted, dark lipstick smeared slightly at the corner, and I watched her eyes flutter closed as Casey leaned in.

And then Casey kissed her.

It was deep from the first second—not tentative, not exploratory. Casey's mouth claimed Em's like she'd been waiting for it, her tongue pushing past Em's lips, and I heard Em make a sound, a small, desperate noise that went straight through me. Casey's other hand came up to fist in Em's black hair, pulling her head back, and Em's hands flew to Casey's waist, gripping the fabric of her track jacket like she was drowning.

I watched them, my cheek still pressed to Casey's knee, Lupe's hand tight in mine. I could feel Lupe's pulse through her palm, racing, and I knew she was watching too, both of us frozen, both of us breathing too fast.

Casey kissed Em like she was drinking her down. I could see Em's throat working, swallowing, could see the way her body pressed into Casey's, arching, begging without words. Casey's hand tightened in her hair, and Em whimpered against her mouth, and Casey swallowed that sound too.

When Casey finally pulled back, Em was gasping, her dark lips swollen and red, a thin line of saliva connecting their mouths. Her eyes were glassy, unfocused, and her chest was heaving beneath her black corset top.

"You've been so good," Casey murmured, her thumb tracing Em's lower lip, smearing the ruined lipstick. "Watching them. Drawing them. Waiting."

"A gift," Casey said, her voice dropping to something that made the air in the room feel heavier. Her hand was still tangled in Em's hair, and she tugged gently, pulling the goth girl's face close to hers. "You've been so patient, Em. Drawing them. Watching them. Waiting without being asked."

Em's breath came in shallow gasps. "I—"

"Shh." Casey's thumb pressed against Em's lower lip, silencing her. "I'm going to give you something. Something you've earned."

My cheek was still pressed against Casey's knee, and I felt the shift in her body before I understood what was happening. She released Em's hair and reached down, her fingers finding the button of her dark slacks. The sound of it coming undone was sharp in the quiet studio, a small metallic click that seemed to echo off the walls.

She arched her hips off the couch, the leather creaking beneath her, and pushed the slacks down her thighs. I watched the fabric slide over her long legs, revealing the smooth skin of her hips, the dark triangle of hair between them. She wasn't wearing underwear. She hadn't been wearing underwear this whole time.

The realization hit me like a physical blow, heat flooding my cheeks. She'd been sitting on that couch, sipping her wine, watching Lupe eat me out on the floor, and she hadn't been wearing a single thing beneath those slacks.

The slacks pooled at her ankles, and she kicked them off, letting them fall to the floor. She sat back, legs spread, completely naked from the waist down, and I could smell her—that sharp, intimate musk that made my mouth water.

"Em," she said, her voice low and commanding. "Take off your clothes."

Em's hands flew to the hem of her black corset top, fumbling with the laces. I watched her strip, watched her pale skin emerge from the dark fabric, watched her full breasts spill free, her nipples already hard. She kicked off her combat boots, peeled off her fishnet stockings, and stood there naked, trembling, her dark hair falling across her face.

"Come here," Casey said.

Em stepped forward, her bare feet silent on the worn boards. Casey reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her down onto the couch beside her. Em went willingly, her body pressing against Casey's side, her mouth already open, already seeking.

But Casey turned away from her, reaching for Lupe instead.

Her hand found Lupe's hair, wrapping deep in the long black strands, and she pulled. Lupe gasped, her head yanked back, her body jerking forward, and Casey guided her down, down, until Lupe's mouth was between Casey's thighs.

"Eat me," Casey said. Not a request. A command.

Lupe looked up at her, dark eyes wide, and then she lowered her head. I watched her tongue emerge, watched it press against Casey's cunt, and I heard Casey's sharp intake of breath.

"Good girl," Casey murmured, her hand still fisted in Lupe's hair. "Just like that."

She turned her head, her blue eyes finding me across the room. "Macy, eat Em’ cunt."

I dropped to my knees between Em's thighs before the command had finished leaving Casey's mouth. The studio floor was rough against my shins, dust and old paint chips pressing into my skin, but I didn't feel any of it. Em's scent hit me first—that sharp, dark musk I'd caught earlier, the one that had made my mouth water from across the room. Up close it was stronger, headier, the smell of a woman who'd been watching two other women fuck for hours without being touched.

Her thighs were pale and soft against my cheeks, trembling slightly as I settled between them. I looked up at her face—head thrown back, dark hair spilling over the leather couch, her full breasts rising and falling with each shallow breath. Her hand came down to rest on the back of my head, fingers tangling in my short hair, and I felt her whole body tense with anticipation.

I leaned in and pressed my mouth to her cunt.

She was already wet—soaking, slick, her folds coated in the evidence of her watching. I ran my tongue flat up the length of her, from her entrance to her clit, and she gasped, her hips bucking against my face. I did it again, slower this time, savoring the taste of her—musky and dark and distinctly Em, like the turpentine and charcoal that lived in her studio, but warmer, more human.

"Oh, fuck," Em breathed, her fingers tightening in my hair. "Oh, fuck, yes."

I found her clit with my tongue and circled it, feeling it swell against the tip, feeling her whole body respond to the touch. She was so responsive, so hungry—every stroke of my tongue pulled a sound from her throat, every pass over her clit made her thighs clench around my head. I could feel her pulse through her skin, could feel the way her cunt clenched around nothing, desperate to be filled.

Beside me, I could hear Lupe working between Casey's legs. The wet sounds of her mouth on Casey's cunt filled the studio, punctuated by Casey's low, approving murmurs. I glanced over, just for a second, and saw Lupe on her knees, her long black hair fisted in Casey's hand, her face buried between the coach's thighs. Casey was watching me, her blue eyes dark and hooded, her lips parted.

"Don't stop," Casey said, and I wasn't sure if she was talking to me or to Lupe. "Don't either of you stop."

I turned back to Em's cunt and doubled my efforts. I spread her folds with my fingers, exposing her clit fully, and took it between my lips, sucking gently. Em cried out, her back arching off the couch, her hand pressing my face deeper into her. I let her guide me, let her fuck my mouth with a desperate, grinding rhythm, my tongue lapping at her slit between each stroke of her hips.

"You're so good at that," Em gasped, her voice strained. "Where did you learn—ah, fuck—where did you learn to eat pussy like that?"

I pulled back just long enough to answer. "Lupe taught me. And Autumn. And Casey."

Em's laugh was a breathless, broken sound. "Fuck. You've had good teachers."

She pushed my head back down, and I went willingly, burying my face in her cunt. I wanted to make her come. I wanted to feel her thighs clamp around my head, wanted to taste her release on my tongue, wanted to hear her scream my name across the studio. I worked her clit with my tongue, fast and firm, my fingers sliding inside her at the same time, curling against the front wall of her cunt the way Lupe had done to me a hundred times.

Em's breath was coming in ragged gasps now, her hips moving in tight, frantic circles. "I'm close," she managed. "I'm so close, don't stop, please don't stop—"

I didn't stop. I pressed my fingers deeper, crooked them just right, and closed my lips around her clit, sucking hard. Em's whole body seized, her thighs clamping around my head, her hand fisting in my hair as a long, keening cry tore from her throat. I felt her cunt clench around my fingers, felt the hot gush of her release against my palm, and I lapped at her clit through it all, drawing out every wave of her orgasm until she went limp against the couch, gasping for air.

I pulled my fingers out of her slowly, bringing them to my mouth, tasting her on my skin. Em watched me through half-lidded eyes, a dazed, sated smile curving her ruined lips.

"Jesus," she whispered. "You're going to kill me."

I grinned up at her, my chin slick with her. "Not yet."

I turned to look at Casey and Lupe. Lupe was still between Casey's thighs, her head bobbing, her tongue working the coach's clit with the same desperate hunger I'd felt in my own mouth moments ago. Casey's head was thrown back against the couch, her eyes closed, her hand fisted in Lupe's hair, and I could see the muscles of her stomach clenching, could see the way her hips rolled against Lupe's mouth.

She was close. I could feel it in the air, in the sharp, salt-sweet smell of her arousal that had filled the studio.

"Casey," I said, and her eyes snapped open, finding me across the room. "Let me taste her."

Something flickered in her blue eyes—a spark of approval, of hunger. She reached down and tugged Lupe's hair, pulling her off her cunt. Lupe looked up, her lips glistening, her dark eyes dazed, and Casey gestured toward me.

"Go," she said. "Let Macy have a turn."

Lupe crawled across the floor on her hands and knees, her thick ass swaying, and settled beside me. Her mouth was slick with Casey's wetness, and I could smell the coach on her breath. She leaned in and kissed me, deep and messy, and I tasted Casey on her tongue—that sharp, intimate musk that made my head spin.

"She's so close," Lupe whispered against my mouth. "She's right there. Don't let her wait."

I nodded and crawled between Casey's thighs. The couch was low, and I had to hunch my shoulders to fit, but I didn't care. Casey's cunt was swollen and slick, her folds dark with arousal, and I could see the evidence of Lupe's mouth still on her—the shine of saliva, the way her clit was engorged and desperate.

I leaned in and licked her.

Casey's whole body shuddered, a low moan escaping her throat. "There," she breathed. "Right there. Just like that."

I circled her clit with my tongue, slow and deliberate, savoring the taste of her. She was different from Em—leaner, more muscular, her cunt tight and athletic, the scent of her sharper, more commanding. I wanted to devour her. I wanted to bury my face between her thighs and never come up for air.

I slid two fingers inside her, feeling her walls clench around me, and she gasped, her hand coming down to grip my hair. "Yes," she hissed. "Fuck, yes, right there—"

I curled my fingers, pressing against the spot that made her see stars, and sucked her clit into my mouth. Casey's hips bucked off the couch, a guttural sound tearing from her throat, and I felt her cunt clamp down on my fingers, hard, her whole body going rigid.

She came with a cry—my name, broken and desperate, falling from her lips like a prayer. I kept my mouth on her through it all, lapping at her clit, riding out every wave of her orgasm, until she finally went limp beneath me, her chest heaving, her hand falling away from my hair.

I pulled back, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand, and looked up at her. Her blue eyes were glassy, her blonde hair mussed, her lips parted. She looked wrecked. She looked beautiful.

"Good girl," she breathed, and I felt the words settle in my chest like a warm weight.

Em shifted on the couch, reaching for me, pulling me up beside her. Lupe crawled over and pressed herself against my other side, her mouth finding my neck, her hand sliding up my thigh. I was surrounded by them—Casey on my left, Em on my right, Lupe pressed against my front—and I could feel the heat of their bodies, the weight of their desire, pressing in on all sides.

Casey's hand slid from my hair, trailing down my cheek before she pushed herself upright on the couch. Her blonde ponytail had come loose, strands of it sticking to her temples, and her blue eyes were still glassy with the aftermath of her orgasm. She looked at me, then at Lupe, then at Em, and a slow smile curved her lips.

"Good girls," she said, her voice low and warm. "Both of you. Now get dressed."

The word settled into my chest like a second heartbeat. Good girls. Plural. Lupe and me together, claimed by the same mouth that had ordered us to our knees. I watched Lupe's dark eyes flick to mine, saw the flush that crept up her brown cheeks, and I knew she felt it too.

We untangled ourselves from the couch slowly, reluctantly, our bodies still humming with the heat of what we'd done. Lupe found her jeans first—she'd left them in a heap by the easel, and she pulled them on without bothering to find her underwear. I watched the way her thick thighs flexed as she stepped into them, the way her long black hair fell across her bare shoulders.

I gathered my own clothes from where they'd been scattered. Casey's panties—the ones she'd traded me in her office—were still in my bag, and I pulled them on first, the silk cool against my still-sensitive skin. Then my shorts, my sports bra, my shirt. Each layer felt like armor, like I was putting the world back on after having been stripped bare.

Em stayed on the couch, naked and unbothered, watching us dress with a lazy, sated expression. Her dark hair was a mess, her pale skin flushed, and there was a smear of my wetness on her thigh that she made no move to wipe away.

"I'll have the drawing ready tomorrow," she said, her voice rough. "Eight o'clock. You two better show up ready to perform."

Lupe laughed, a low, warm sound. "We're always ready."

Casey stood, stretching her long, lean body, and I watched the muscles of her stomach ripple. She pulled her own clothes on with the same efficiency she brought to the track—quick, precise movements, no wasted energy. When she was dressed, she looked like a coach again, like the woman who barked commands from the infield, not the woman who had come apart under my mouth.

But her eyes still had that dark, hooded quality, and when she looked at me, I felt it low in my belly.

"Walk them out," she said to Em, and there was something in her voice I couldn't quite place. A command, yes, but softer. Almost tender.

Em rose from the couch, pulling on a loose black t-shirt that fell to her thighs. She padded across the studio on bare feet, her dark hair swinging, and held the door for us. Lupe went first, and I followed, pausing in the doorway to look back at Casey.

She was watching me, her blue eyes unreadable. "Tomorrow," she said. "Eight. Don't be late."

"I won't."

The door swung shut behind us, and we were in the hallway, the fluorescent lights buzzing overhead. Lupe's hand found mine, her fingers intertwining with mine, and we walked together toward the stairs.

We were halfway down the corridor when I heard it—a soft, muffled sound from behind us. A gasp. A moan.

I stopped, and Lupe stopped with me. We turned together, and I looked back through the small window set into the studio door.

Casey had Em pressed against the wall just inside the studio. Her hand was between Em's legs, her fingers working in quick, deliberate strokes, and Em's head was lolled back against the wood, her dark hair spilling across her shoulders. The goth girl's mouth was open, her eyes half-closed, and I could see the way her body arched into Casey's touch, could see the desperate, hungry way she ground against the coach's hand.

Casey's other hand was fisted in Em's hair, tilting her head back, and she was leaning in close, her mouth at Em's ear. I couldn't hear what she was saying, but I could imagine it—those low, commanding words, the ones that made my knees weak.

Lupe's hand tightened on mine. "Dios."

I watched for another moment, transfixed by the sight of Casey's hand moving between Em's thighs, by the way the goth girl's body was trembling, her hips rolling in tight circles against the coach's fingers. There was something almost violent in the way Casey touched her, something possessive and demanding, and I felt a strange, hot twist in my stomach.

Not jealousy. I didn't feel jealousy. I felt something else—a kind of hunger, a wanting that had nothing to do with being the only one. I wanted to watch. I wanted to see Em fall apart under Casey's hand the way I had, wanted to hear the sounds she made, wanted to be part of that world where women took what they wanted and gave themselves over to the taking.

Lupe tugged my hand. "Come on," she said softly. "Let them have their moment."

I let her pull me away, but I couldn't stop thinking about what I'd seen. The image of Casey's hand between Em's legs, the goth girl's head lolling back, her pleasure written across her pale face—it stayed with me as we walked down the stairs and out into the cool night air.

The campus was quiet, the paths lit by old-fashioned lamp posts that cast pools of yellow light on the pavement. The air smelled like cut grass and the faint, distant smell of someone's dinner cooking. We walked in silence for a while, our hands still linked, our footsteps synchronized.

"You're thinking about her," Lupe said finally.

"I'm thinking about all of them," I admitted. "About what we just did. About what's happening tomorrow."

"And about Casey's hand on Em?"

I glanced at her. Her face was hard to read in the dim light, but there was no accusation in her voice. Just curiosity. Just that steady, open way she had of looking at me.

"Yes," I said. "I'm thinking about that too."

Lupe nodded, her thumb tracing circles on the back of my hand. "She's collecting us," she said. "Like we're all pieces of something she's building."

"Do you mind?"

She was quiet for a moment, her dark eyes fixed on the path ahead. "I mind that she thinks she owns you," she said finally. "But I don't mind watching. I don't mind being part of it. As long as you're with me at the end of the night."

I squeezed her hand. "I am."

She smiled, that slow, warm smile that made my chest ache. "Good."

We reached the dorm and climbed the stairs to our room. The door swung open into the familiar darkness—the bunk beds, the window with its view of the quad, the pile of textbooks on Lupe's desk. It felt like coming home to a place that was also somehow strange, like I was seeing it for the first time after having been somewhere else entirely.

Lupe closed the door behind us and leaned against it, watching me. The room was lit only by the streetlight outside, casting long shadows across the floor.

"You're still wearing her panties," she said.

I looked down. The silk was a ghost against my skin, a constant reminder of Casey's claim. "Should I take them off?"

"Not yet." Lupe crossed the room slowly, her movements deliberate, and stopped in front of me. She reached out and hooked her finger into the waistband of my shorts, pulling me closer. "I want to taste her on you first."

My breath caught. "Lupe—"

"I know." She leaned in, her lips brushing my ear. "I know she's got her mark on you. I know she's got her claim. But I'm still here, Macy. I'm still choosing you. And I want you to remember whose mouth is on you when you close your eyes tonight."

Her hand slid down the front of my shorts, her fingers finding the silk of Casey's panties, and she pressed her palm against me. I could feel the heat of her through the fabric, could feel the way my body responded to her touch, that familiar, desperate ache.

"Lupe," I breathed, and she kissed me.

It was slow, deep, her tongue sliding against mine, and I tasted myself on her—the sharp, intimate musk of my own arousal, mixed with something darker, something that was Casey's. She pulled back just enough to look at me, her dark eyes searching mine.

"Tomorrow," she said, "we're going to give her a show. We're going to let her watch us, let her draw us, let her see exactly what we are to each other. But tonight, you're mine."

She pushed my shorts down, and Casey's panties went with them, pooling at my ankles. I stepped out of them, and Lupe picked them up, holding the silk in her hand for a moment before she brought it to her nose.

"She smells like power," Lupe murmured. "Like she knows she's won."

"Has she?"

Lupe looked at me, and there was something fierce in her eyes. "She's won the game she's playing. But she hasn't won you. Not all of you. Not the part that comes back to this room, that crawls into my bed, that says my name when she's falling apart."

She dropped Casey's panties on the floor and stepped out of her own jeans, then her shirt. She was naked in the dim light, her body a study in curves and shadows, and I reached for her, pulling her against me.

"I love you," I said, and the words felt truer than anything I'd said all night.

Lupe kissed me again, softer this time. "I love you too. Now come to bed. I want to feel you next to me."

We climbed into the lower bunk, her bed, the one she'd claimed as hers, and she pulled the covers over us. Her body was warm against mine, her hand resting on my hip, her breath soft against my neck.

For a long moment, we just lay there, the silence comfortable, the darkness soft. I could feel her heartbeat through her chest, steady and sure, and I let myself sink into it.

"What's going to happen tomorrow?" I asked finally.

Lupe's hand traced lazy circles on my skin. "We're going to go to Em's studio. We're going to make love while she draws us. And Casey is going to watch."

"And then?"

"And then we see what she does with the drawing. What she does with us."

I turned my head to look at her. "Are you scared?"

"Of Casey?" She shook her head. "No. She's just a woman. A powerful one, sure, but she puts her pants on one leg at a time like the rest of us." A pause. "I'm scared of losing you."

"You won't."

"You can't promise that."

"I can." I reached up and cupped her face in my hand. "I'm promising you that. Whatever happens with Casey, whatever she does with that drawing, whatever she thinks she owns—I come back to you. Every time. You're my home, Lupe."

Her eyes glistened in the dim light, and she kissed me, soft and sweet, a different kind of kiss than the hungry ones we'd shared before. This one was a promise. An anchor.

"Okay," she whispered against my lips. "Okay."

We settled into each other, her head on my shoulder, my arm around her, the sheets tangled around our legs. I could still feel the ghost of Casey's mouth on me, the warmth of Em's body, the echo of Lupe's tongue. But here, in the dark, with Lupe's breath slowing against my neck, it all felt like it belonged to a different world.

Tomorrow, we would walk into Em's studio and give Casey the show she'd demanded. We would let her watch us, let her see us, let her think she was in control.

But tonight, I was here. I was home. And I was loved.

I closed my eyes and let the darkness take me, Lupe's hand still resting on my hip, her breath warm against my skin. Whatever came next, I would face it with her beside me.

And that, I thought, was enough.
