James 'Jamie' Mitchell

An 18-year-old senior with a slender, almost delicate build, wispy blond hair, and wide blue eyes that hold a perpetual softness. His wrists are narrow, his shoulders slight, and he moves with a gentleness that makes him an easy target. There's a quiet resilience in the set of his jaw, but also a deep, unspoken longing to be seen for who he really is.

Mackenzie 'Kenzie' Hart

An 18-year-old university senior, taller than James with a soft, curvy figure that she's always been shy about. She has a cascade of honey-brown hair, gentle hazel eyes, and a warm, dimpled smile. Her nervous habit of tucking hair behind her ear betrays her unease, but she's loyal and shares a genuine, quiet bond with James over books and late-night study sessions.

Dan Colson

An 18-year-old with a thick, bullish frame, a square jaw dusted with stubble, and cold, calculating brown eyes. He moves with the swagger of someone who's never been told no, his muscles straining the sleeves of his letterman jacket. There's a cruel amusement that lives in his smirk, a hunger for dominance that he satisfies by breaking others down.

Barry Voss

An 18-year-old with a lean, wiry frame, sandy hair that falls over his forehead, and a perpetual sneer. He's the hyena to Dan's lion, quick with a sharp word and a sharper elbow. His eyes are a pale, washed-out green, always scanning for weakness, and he has a habit of cracking his knuckles before he starts in on someone.

Bullies

Introducing the cast - Dan and Barry bully James, calling him a girl - and openly hitting on Mackenzie. James and Mackenzie are too shy to fight them off.

The Hallway Echo

The hallway is empty except for the three of them, the fluorescent lights buzzing overhead. Dan steps into his path, blocking the way to the English wing. 'Hey, Jamie,' he says, drawing the name out like a slow knife. 'We were thinking. You should come to Barry's party Friday. Bring Kenzie.' Barry cracks his knuckles behind Dan's shoulder. 'We'll teach you how to talk to her properly.' It's not an invitation. It's a trap, and James can feel the floor tilting under his feet.

The Party

Firstly, we get a short reflection where James thinks about how he DOESN'T want to be a girl - to be Jamie. This is outside of the party. He and Mackenzie go in, and get peer pressured into having a couple of drinks. Later in the night, he walks into the living room and sees a drunk Mackenzie sitting on Dan's lap. She's giggling, seemingly not thinking about what she's doing. James stands back, watching, embarassed that he's too shy to confront Dan. As Dan wraps his hands around Mackenzie's waist, Barry creeps up behind James, grabs him, holds him there, makes him watch. The way Barry handles him makes him feel a little funny... a little submissive...

An Exchange

A couple hours and several drinks later, Jamie finds Mackenzie and Dan again - this time, because her clothes are outside the bedroom door. Jamie collects them and peeks inside to see a hulking Dan fucking Mackenzie. Again, Barry shows up. As they watch Dan and Mackenzie fuck, Barry makes Jamie put on Mackenzie's clothes. When Dan finishes with Mackenzie and the pair fall onto the bed, Barry ushers Jamie in so he can fuck him - her - on the same bed while they watch...
