Chapter 12

Jay is summoned to the entertainment lounge for the private function that he has been booked for. When he arrives he finds that a nervous Birdie is already there along with Madam Michelle. Madam Michelle informs them both that some important clients have hired them both to perform a sex show on stage in front of the usual crowd, They will fuck each other before the clients join them on stage to fuck them both. Madam Michelle fits them both with a chain around their necks, tight enough that it is impossible to remove but not so tight as to restrict breathing. Madam Michelle informs them both that they are to be chained as chattel to the pole on the stage so they cannot escape. Madam Michelle leads them by the chains humiliatingly through the crowd, onto the stage where she locks the other end of the long chains to the pole on stage. Once secured and left on stage they begin to tenderly make love to each other while to wait for their new customers. A pair of Dracon's

The summons comes over the starships tannoy system, “Jay to report to the entertainment lounge, your services are required.” Jay pushes himself up, his body a dull tapestry of aches from the suite. The message is simple: Entertainment Lounge. Private Function. Now.

He dresses in the standard, sheer wrap, his movements automatic. The fabric does nothing to hide the fresh bruises, the evidence. Each step towards the lounge feels like walking into a deep, cold current.

The lounge is dim, the main stage lights off. At the edge of the illuminated bar area, he sees them. Birdie stands rigid, her usual cynical slouch gone, replaced by a tense, straight-backed posture. Madam Michelle is beside her, a silhouette of opulent silk against the industrial bulkhead.

"Ah, our other star arrives," Michelle purrs, not turning. "Come here, darling. Don't dawdle."

Jay approaches. Birdie's eyes flick to him, wide and uncharacteristically scared. Her fingers are twisting together. *She’s never looked like this*, he thinks. *Not even during the stories. This is different.*

"We have a very special booking," Michelle announces, her voice cutting the quiet. "High-value, long-term clients we are eager to impress. They have purchased a... showcase."

"A showcase?" Jay hears himself ask. His throat is dry.

"A performance. For the general lounge audience, as an aperitif. Then, a private session for our distinguished guests on the stage itself." Michelle turns fully now, her emerald eyes moving between them. "You will perform together. You will make love to each other. Tenderly. Convincingly. You will warm the stage, and the crowd, for them."

Birdie makes a small, choked sound. "Together? Madam, I've never—"

"You have now," Michelle interrupts, her purr hardening. "Consider it a broadening of your professional repertoire. Now. Collars."

From a small case on the bar, she produces two lengths of fine, cold chain, each attached to a sleek metal band. She steps to Birdie first.

"Look at the stage, sweet thing. Don't look at me."

Birdie obeys, staring ahead as Michelle fits the band around her neck. There's a soft *click*. Birdie’s breath hitches. Jay watches her throat work as she swallows against the metal. *It’s real. This is really happening.*

Michelle turns to him. "Your turn, my diligent Jay. Chin up."

Her perfumed hands are cool on his skin. The metal band closes around his throat. It's snug, unyielding. He can breathe, but he can feel the permanent weight of it, a constant, tactile reminder. *A leash. She’s putting us on a leash.*

"These are not for decoration," Michelle says, gathering the loose ends of the chains in one ring-adorned hand. "You are chattel tonight. Property on display. The chains will be secured to the central stage pole. Aesthetic, and absolute."

She gives the chains a gentle, testing pull. Jay and Birdie are jerked a half-step forward in unison. Humiliation burns up Jay's neck, hotter than the metal. *Led like animals.*

"Now," Michelle smiles. "Let's introduce you to your audience."

She walks, and the chains pull taut. They have no choice but to follow, stumbling slightly to keep pace. She leads them away from the bar, toward the main floor of the lounge, which is beginning to fill with the usual evening crowd.

A hush falls, then a wave of murmurs and low laughter. Eyes everywhere. Jay keeps his gaze on the back of Michelle's silken dress. He feels the heat of a hundred stares on his nearly-naked body, on the collar, on the chain that connects him to Birdie and to the Madam leading them. *This is worse than the table. This is a parade.*

Michelle ascends the three short steps to the stage, pulling them up after her. The central pole, usually used for dances, is bolted to the floor. With a flourish, she threads the ends of both chains through a heavy ring at its base. There's another, final *click* of a lock.

She lets go. The chains slump, a coiled pile of links connecting their necks to the immovable pole. The length allows them to move, but not leave. Not escape.

Michelle leans in, her voice a whisper meant to carry. "Begin when the house lights dim. Make it beautiful. Make them want you. Your new owners are watching from the VIP balcony. They will join you as and when they see fit."

She descends from the stage, melting into the shadows. The house lights begin to lower, a deep, thrumming music swelling from the speakers. A spotlight hits them, blinding.

Jay turns to Birdie. In the stark light, her fear is naked. She’s trembling. He reaches for her hand, his mechanic's grip enveloping her smaller one. It's the first gentle touch he's given or received in weeks.

"Birdie," he whispers over the music.

"I can't," she whispers back, her voice cracking. "Jay, I *can't*. It's one thing when it's them, when you can just... go away inside. But this? With you? Making *love*? I have to see you again tomorrow. I have to look you in the eye, talk to you."

The word hangs between them, obscene and heartbreaking. "We have to," he says, the truth a cold stone in his gut. "Or it gets worse. You taught me that."

She looks at him, her eyes searching his face. She sees his own shame, his own terror, mirrored there. Something in her settles, not into calm, but into a shared, desperate resolve. She gives a tiny, sharp nod.

His hands come up to cradle her face. Her skin is soft. He leans in, and their foreheads touch. The crowd's noise fades to a distant roar. For a moment, it's just the two of them, chained in a circle of light.

He kisses her. It's not hungry, not brutal. It's slow. Tentative. A question. Her lips part under his, and she kisses him back, a sob trapped in her throat. His arms go around her, pulling her close against his chest. She clings to him, her fingers digging into his back.

They sink to their knees on the cool stage floor, the chains clinking softly. He lays her down, following her, his body shielding hers from the staring eyes as much as the chain will allow. He kisses her neck, her shoulder, the hollow of her throat. Every touch is an apology. Every sigh she gives is a confession.

His hand finds the tie of her wrap. He pulls it loose. Her body is pale and slight in the spotlight. He sees old scars, newer bruises. He covers her with his own body, trying to give her some scrap of privacy, some illusion of intimacy in this public vivisection.

"Look at me," he whispers, echoing a command from a lifetime ago, but now it's a plea. "Just look at me."

Her eyes open, glistening. She nods again. Her hand slides between them, finding him, guiding him. He pushes inside her, and she gasps, her head falling back. It's tight, warm. A different kind of fullness. He begins to move, a slow, rocking rhythm meant to soothe, not to conquer.

Their chains shift and whisper with each motion. The music swells. The crowd is cheering now, a bestial sound of approval. Jay closes his eyes, burying his face in Birdie's hair. He can smell her sweat, her fear, a hint of cheap soap. *This is the most human contact I’ve had since the docks*, he thinks, and the shame of that truth is a blade twisting deep inside. He holds her tighter, moving with her, waiting for thier clients to descend.

He keeps his rhythm slow, his face hidden in the scent of her hair, trying to build a wall of their two bodies against the noise. Her hands are claws on his back. He can feel her heart hammering against his chest. She whispers something into his shoulder—a prayer, a curse—but the music drowns it. He moves, and she moves with him, a fragile syncopation against the chains.

A new shadow falls across them.

The music doesn’t stop, but the crowd’s cheer shifts, becoming sharper, more anticipatory. Jay feels Birdie freeze beneath him. Her eyes, locked on his, widen in pure, unadulterated terror. Her breath stops.

He turns his head, following her gaze.

They stand at the edge of the stage, two of them. Tall. Impossibly thin. Their skin is a dull, grey-green, scaled like old leather. They wear draped, dark robes, but their hands are exposed—long-fingered, tipped with black claws. Their faces are elongated, lipless slits for mouths, nostrils that are just vertical slashes. Their eyes are solid, glossy black orbs that reflect the spotlight back as twin pinpricks of white.

Dracons.

Birdie makes a sound. A low, wounded animal whine that gets trapped in her throat. Her whole body begins to tremble violently. “No,” she breathes, the word barely audible. “No, no, no.”

Her disgust is a physical wave. Jay feels her pussy clench around him, not in pleasure, but in revulsion, trying to push him out as if he’s become part of the contamination. Her face crumples. She looks at the Dracons, then at Jay still inside her, and a profound, sick self-loathing floods her expression. She is being presented to them like this, joined, already soiled.

One Dracon tilts its head, the movement insectile. It says something in a series of clicking hisses. The other extends a clawed hand, pointing first at Birdie, then at Jay.

Michelle’s voice purrs from a nearby speaker. “They wish to know who is more receptive. A demonstration of enthusiasm is required.”

Jay’s mind whites out. Then it focuses, sharp as a shiv. He sees Birdie’s terror. He sees the clinical curiosity in those black eyes. He knows, with a cold, mechanic’s certainty, what will happen if they choose her first. She will break. Completely.

He pulls out of her, the sudden emptiness making her gasp. He shifts his body, placing himself between Birdie and the edge of the stage, blocking their view of her. He gets to his knees, the chain pulling at his throat. He spreads his hands, a gesture of offering.

“Me,” Jay says, his voice rough. It doesn’t carry over the music. He raises it, shouting. “Me! Take me!”

The Dracons watch, unblinking.

Humiliation is a fire in his veins. He leans forward, bracing his hands on the stage floor, presenting his ass to them. The crowd roars its approval. He looks back over his shoulder, meets those black eyes. “Fuck me,” he snarls, the words ash in his mouth. “I’m your bitch. Make me your bitch. Use me.”

The first Dracon moves. It is eerily graceful. It ascends the steps, its robes whispering. Up close, Jay smells it—a dry, dusty scent like a desert cave, overlain with something sharp and chemical. Its clawed hands grip his hips. The touch is cold, the scales rough.

Jay hears Birdie behind him, small hitched sobs. “Jay…”

He doesn’t look at her. He might be sacrificing himself to eternal shame to protect her… but he can’t bring himself to look at her while he is doing it. He keeps his eyes on the second Dracon, still watching. “It’s okay,” he grunts, not knowing if it’s for her or himself.

There is no preparation. No spit, no oil. The Dracon uses its own biological slickness, something cold and gelid that coats his entrance. The pressure is immense, wrong. The shape is wrong—tapered, ridged, hard but not like a human penis, solid, almost like hard plastic. It pushes inside him in one slow, inexorable slide.

Jay’s vision sparks. The stretch is brutal, a tearing, burning fullness that goes too deep. He chokes, his forehead dropping to the cool stage. The Dracon’s hips meet his ass. It pauses, as if calibrating.

Then it moves. Its rhythm is mechanical, a piston-like thrusting with no warmth, no variation. Each inward stroke grinds the alien ridges against his raw inner walls. Each withdrawal is a cold, sucking vacuum. Jay’s body is rigid, trying to reject the violation, but the chain holds him in place.

The crowd is chanting. The spotlight burns his skin. He can hear the wet, unnatural sound of the fucking, louder than the music. He screws his eyes shut, trying to disappear. But he can’t. He is here, being mounted by a reptile on a stage, and Birdie is watching.

The first Dracon pulls out, the sudden emptiness a shock. Cold air hits the violated flesh. Before Jay can breathe, the second one is there. Its hands are different, grip tighter. It re-enters the same slick, used channel, and Jay’s body convulses, a dry heave that brings nothing up.

This one is faster. Harder. Its claws dig into the meat of his hips, puncturing the skin. He feels warm blood trickle down his thigh. The pain mixes with the deep, internal bruising, creating a single, white-hot tapestry of agony. His own cock, soft and shriveled, jerks pathetically against his belly with each thrust.

He’s making sounds. Grunts of pain forced out of him. He hears Birdie crying, a continuous, low moan of horror. He has failed. This spectacle isn’t protecting her; it’s just another layer of their mutual degradation for her to witness.

The second Dracon finishes with a series of rapid, jarring thrusts. It emits a low, hissing sigh. Something hot and thick floods Jay’s insides, a foreign heat that seems to burn. thicker and more viscous than human sperm it was somehow gelatinous but almost chunky, almost like frogspawn. Jay could feel it squirting inside of him. Filling his bowels and coating his guts. Disgust coursed though him bring with it a twitch of arousal.

Jay collapses forward onto his elbows, his ass in the air, trembling violently. He feels the alien seed start to leak out of him, down his thighs. The smell of it is pungent, alien. The crowd screams its approval.

A clawed hand grabs his hair, yanks his head up. It’s the first Dracon. It points its other hand, not at Jay, but past him. At Birdie.

Its clicking hiss is a command.

Michelle’s voice clarifies, sweet and lethal. “They find your enthusiasm commendable, pet. But they require variety. Now the female.”

Birdie’s weeping stops. A perfect, dead silence takes its place. Jay twists, trying to get up, to block them again, but his body is a wreck of pain and the chain yanks him short. He can only watch as the first Dracon turns its blank, black eyes on Birdie. She stares back, her face a mask of utter devastation. She doesn’t fight as it reaches for her. She just closes her eyes, a tear tracing a clean line through the grime on her cheek.

Jay’s raw throat tears the words free. “No—not her! My mouth. Use my mouth instead.”

The Dracon’s reaching claw halts. Its head cants, a predator considering a new scent. Its companion emits a series of clicks.

“Please,” Jay gasps, pushing up on trembling arms. He shuffles on his knees, the chain a constant weight. He opens his mouth, tilts his head back. “Here. Take it here.”

The first Dracon’s hiss might be amusement. It steps over Jay’s collapsed form and seizes Birdie by her chain instead. It drags her, stumbling, to a position directly in front of Jay. She doesn’t resist. Her eyes are wide, vacant pools.

The second Dracon moves behind Jay. Cold, scaled hands grip the sides of his head. The tapered, ridged member, slick with its own gelid fluid and Jay’s blood, presses against his lips.

Jay gags at the taste—chemical, bitter, alien. He tries to open wider. The Dracon doesn’t wait. It rams forward.

The thick, wrong shape forces his jaws apart, scraping past his teeth, hitting the back of his throat. Jay chokes instantly, his body convulsing. Tears spring to his eyes. The Dracon holds his head immobile and begins to piston its hips.

It is face-fucking him, deep and brutal. Each thrust drives the tapered end into his gullet, triggering a violent gag reflex that he cannot obey. Spit and viscous alien slickness drool from the corners of his stretched lips. His nose is filled with the dry, dusty scent of the creature’s scales.

He is forced to look up. Birdie is right there, held upright by the other Dracon’s grip on her chain. Her eyes are no longer vacant. They are fixed on him, brimming with a horrified, aching pity that curdles into naked disgust.

He sees himself reflected in her revulsion: on his knees, mouth savagely stretched around an alien cock, face a mess of tears and spit. A thing. A used thing begging for more.

The shame is a white-hot brand searing through the pain. He wants to close his eyes. He can’t. Her gaze holds him, pinning him to the moment more effectively than the claws on his skull.

Then he feels it. A traitorous heat in his groin. A familiar, hated tightening. His own cock, ignored and abused, begins to stiffen against his thigh. The humiliation is so total, so absolute, that his conditioned body responds to it as stimulus. Pleasure wires crossed with degradation.

He is fully hard, achingly so, bobbing with each of the Dracon’s thrusts into his throat. Birdie’s eyes flick down, see it. Her pity vanishes, replaced by a look of pure, unvarnished loathing. Not for the Dracon. For him.

The Dracon in his mouth quickens. Its mechanical rhythm falters. A series of shuddering clicks vibrates down its member, into Jay’s skull. It slams deep one final time and holds.

A flood of hot, vile fluid erupts into Jay’s throat. It’s thicker than human come, salty and acidic. It burns. He gurgles, trying to swallow, trying not to drown. It overflows, spilling out his nose, dripping down his chin.

The Dracon pulls out with a wet pop. Jay collapses forward, coughing, retching, the bitter seed coating his tongue and sinuses. He vomits a thin, clear bile onto the stage between his hands.

The first Dracon releases Birdie’s chain. She sags but doesn’t fall. She stares at Jay, at the mess of him, her face pale and rigid with terror and a deep, personal betrayal.

The second Dracon, finished, steps back. It points a claw at Birdie, then at the stage floor before Jay. Its meaning is clear. The variety has been sampled. Now the main course.

The Dracon’s claw closed around the back of Jay’s collar chain and hauled. He came up, choking, his legs buckling under him, until he was forced upright. The other Dracon did the same to Birdie, dragging her until they stood facing each other, toe to toe, the chains between them pulled taut. Her breath hitched in ragged, terrified gasps. Her eyes were wild, skittering over his ruined face, the alien fluid still dripping from his chin.

“Embrace,” the first Dracon hissed, the word a guttural command.

Jay’s arms were lead. He lifted them. Birdie flinched as his hands settled on her bare hips. Her skin was clammy, trembling. He pulled her closer, a hollow mimicry of the tender hold they’d shared earlier. She was rigid, a statue of fear.

The Dracon behind Jay seized his hips, yanking them forward. At the same moment, the one behind Birdie did the same to her. Their bodies slammed together. Jay’s hard, traitorous cock, which had never softened, slipped easily into the wet heat between her thighs. Birdie made a sound—a sharp, wounded exhale that wasn’t pleasure, wasn’t protest. Just acknowledgement of an invasion.

Before either could process that joining, a new, greater violation came. Jay felt the blunt, tapered pressure against his anus, already sore and torn from earlier use. It pushed, relentless. He gritted his teeth, a low groan torn from him as the alien member breached him, a slow, brutal stretch that burned.

Birdie’s eyes flew wide. Her mouth opened in a silent scream. She was being penetrated from behind in the same moment. Her body jerked against his, a spasm of pure terror. They were pinned together, two insects on a display board, impaled front and back.

Then the Dracons began to move. A synchronized, rhythmic fucking. Each forward thrust from behind drove Jay deeper into Birdie, and her body onto him. It was a grotesque, mechanical circuit. He was inside her. They were inside him. The wet, slapping sounds of alien flesh against human, and human against human, filled the air around the pole.

Birdie was crying again, silent tears streaming. Her hands clawed at his shoulders, not in passion, but in a frantic search for anything stable. Her gaze was locked on his, desperate, drowning.

“Look at me,” Jay whispered croakily, his voice shredded. The words were for her, a lifeline in the storm. “Just my eyes, Birdie. Only my eyes.”

She focused. Her pupils were huge with fear. The Dracon behind her gave a particularly hard thrust, and she whimpered, her forehead falling against his collarbone.

“Breathe,” he murmured into her hair, the scent of her sweat and fear mixing with the alien stink on his skin. “In. Out. Just like resting. We’re just resting.”

It was the worst lie he’d ever told. His own body was a riot of conflicting signals: the searing pain of being sodomized, the tight, slick clutch of her around his cock, the crushing shame of his own arousal amidst the violation. He could feel her trembling, feel the hitched sobs she was trying to swallow.

Her head lifted. Her lips found his. It wasn’t tender. It was frantic, a drowning person gasping for air. She kissed him hard, desperately, her tongue pushing past his teeth as if she could crawl inside him and hide. The taste of his own vomit and alien seed was in that kiss, mixed with the salt of her tears.

He kissed her back, giving her the escape she sought. He poured every broken apology, every ounce of shared horror into it. His hands moved from her hips to cradle the back of her head, his fingers tangling in her hair, holding her to him as their bodies were rocked and used.

The Dracons’ pace increased. The rhythm became punishing, a relentless pistoning that left no room for thought, only sensation. Birdie broke the kiss, her forehead resting against his again, their breath mingling in short, sharp pants. Her eyes were closed tight. She was gone, somewhere inside, leaving only the shell that convulsed around him with each thrust.

Jay stayed present. He watched her retreat. He felt the exact moment the Dracon behind him changed its rhythm, its scalding grip on his hips tightening. A series of wet, internal clicks vibrated through its member buried in his guts.

It slammed home and locked. A flood of hot, viscous seed erupted deep inside his rectum, a violating fullness that made his stomach cramp. He cried out, a raw sound lost in the lounge’s murmur.

Almost simultaneously, Birdie’s body went rigid. A choked scream was smothered against his shoulder. He felt the hot gush of the other Dracon’s release inside her, a parallel violation. The creatures held them there, pumping their alien offspring into human receptacles, breeding them with indifference.

Finally, the pressure withdrew. The Dracons stepped back, disengaging with wet, obscene sounds. Jay’s knees gave out. He collapsed, pulling Birdie down with him, their chains clattering. They landed in a heap on the stained stage, joined at the hips, their bodies filled with burning, foreign seed.

Birdie pushed away from him the instant she could, scrambling back until her chain went taut. She curled into a ball, her face buried in her knees, her shoulders shaking with silent, violent sobs. The wetness between her thighs—his, theirs—began to seep onto the stage floor.

Jay lay on his back, staring at the crimson lights overhead. The ache in his ass was profound. The shame in his chest was deeper. He could still feel the ghost of her frantic kiss on his lips, a mockery of intimacy in a sea of filth. He turned his head. Birdie wouldn’t look at him. The bond they’d forged in tender desperation was gone, replaced by a shared, unspeakable contamination.

The click of heels on metal plating cut through the lounge’s low hum, measured and approaching. Madam Michelle stepped into the pool of crimson light around the stage, her opulent silk dress a splash of absurd color against the grim tableau. She held the ends of their neck chains coiled neatly in one gloved hand.

Her emerald eyes scanned them, a curator assessing damaged inventory. They lingered on the viscous, opalescent fluid leaking from between Birdie’s clenched thighs, then on the trickle seeping from Jay’s anus onto the stage.

“A successful demonstration,” she purred, her voice carrying no warmth. “The Dracon magistrates were most satisfied with the receptivity of the stock. They’ve paid a considerable bonus.”

Birdie flinched at the word ‘stock’, curling tighter into herself. A fresh, silent sob shook her shoulders. She kept her face hidden, as if vanishing might make the inspection end.

Michelle stepped closer, the scent of her perfume—jasmine and cold ozone—clashing with the thick, alien musk hanging in the air. She nudged Jay’s thigh with the toe of her shoe. “On your feet, Jay. The merchandise must be presented for collection.”

His body protested, a symphony of aches and deep, violating fullness. He pushed himself up, movements stiff. The chain around his neck pulled taut as he rose, a reminder of the leash. He kept his eyes down, fixed on the dark stains between his feet.

“Birdie,” Michelle said, the purr gone, replaced by a lash of impatience. “Now.”

Birdie didn’t move. Her breathing was a frantic, shallow whistle. Michelle sighed, a sound of profound inconvenience. She gestured to Jay. “Make her stand. If she cannot perform a basic instruction, she is of no use to me.”

The command landed like a physical blow. Jay’s stomach turned. He looked at Birdie’s huddled form, the tremors running through her. “Birdie,” he whispered, his voice gravel. “You have to get up.”

She shook her head, a frantic little motion against her knees. “I can’t,” she gasped, the words muffled. “I can feel it… inside. I’m… contaminated.”

“I know,” Jay said, the truth of it acid on his tongue. He could feel it too, a hot, foreign weight in his guts. “But you have to stand. Please.”

He reached for her, his hand hovering above her shaking shoulder. He couldn’t bring himself to touch her. Their shared violation had made her skin a minefield. After a terrible pause, his fingers brushed her arm.

She recoiled as if burned, scrambling backwards until the chain snapped her to a stop. Her face came up, tear-streaked and twisted with a disgust that was directed inward. “Don’t touch me,” she hissed. “You were inside me. While they were inside you. It’s… it’s all mixed together. It’s in me.”

The self-loathing in her words was a physical thing. Jay dropped his hand. The shame burned hotter, because part of him—the detached, professional part Madam Michelle was cultivating—understood her revulsion and agreed with it.

“On your feet, or I will have you dragged to re-processing,” Michelle stated, her tone final. “The tanks there will scrub you clean, inside and out. They are not gentle.”

The threat penetrated Birdie’s terror. Her eyes, wide and bloodshot, flicked to Michelle’s impassive face. Slowly, shaking, she uncurled. She got one knee under her, then the other. The movement caused more of the thick, alien seed to seep from her, dripping down her inner thigh. She gagged, dry-heaving, but forced herself upright.

They stood side-by-side, tethered to the same pole, leaking the same proof. Michelle circled them, a slow, appraising orbit. Her gloved hand reached out and touched the drying streaks on Birdie’s stomach. Birdie whimpered, a high, thin sound.

“Adequate retention,” Michelle noted clinically. She moved behind Jay. He felt her fingers part his buttocks. The cold air, and her clinical touch on his ravaged entrance, made him jolt. “Significant tearing. You’ll need suture gel before your next booking. The Dracon morphology is rarely compatible without damage.”

Her words catalogued his body as a broken tool. The humiliation was no longer hot and sharp; it was a cold, settling weight, a fact of his existence.

She completed her circle, coming to face them. She gathered the slack of their chains, wrapping the links around her hand, pulling until the collars pressed snug against their throats. Not choking, but claiming. “You will walk back to the preparation bay. You will not run. You will not falter. You are my assets, returning from a job. Carry yourselves accordingly.”

She turned and began to walk, the chains pulling them forward like beasts on a lead. Jay stumbled into step, the movement making the fluid in his bowels shift nauseatingly. Birdie followed, a half-step behind, her arms wrapped around her own torso, her head bowed so low her chin touched her chest.

The walk through the lounge was a gauntlet. The murmured conversations didn’t pause. Eyes followed them—not with pity, but with casual, evaluating interest. They saw two whores, used and spent, being put away. The wet trails on their skin were just part of the display.

Jay focused on the back of Michelle’s dress, on the sway of her coiled red hair. He dissociated, just as Birdie had taught him. He was not a man walking through a crowd, leaking alien semen. He was an asset, in transit. The numbness was a gift.

Birdie was not so lucky. He could hear her breathing, fast and panicked beside him. A low, continuous moan vibrated in her throat. “It’s dripping,” she whispered, horrified. “I can feel it dripping. Everyone can see.”

“They don’t care,” Jay murmured back, the words hollow. “It’s what we’re for.”

The sound she made then was one of pure despair. It was the sound of a last, internal wall crumbling. The doors to the prep bay hissed open ahead. Michelle led them inside, the sterile white light a shocking contrast to the lounge’s crimson gloom.

She unhooked their chains from her hand, letting the ends fall to the floor with a heavy clatter. “The dermal cleansers are there,” she said, pointing to a bank of sonic stalls. “Scrub thoroughly. The internal contaminant will be purged medically within the hour. Report to the rest area afterward. You are both off the roster for the next couple of day’s while your bodies recover.”

She left without another glance. The doors hissed shut, leaving them alone in the bright, silent room. The chains still connected them to each other, and to the poles on a stage that felt a solar system away.

Birdie stood frozen, staring at the floor where a single, opalescent drop had fallen from her body onto the pristine white tile. Her terror had condensed into a hard, frozen knot of disgust. “I want to peel my skin off,” she said, her voice utterly flat. “I want to scrape my insides out.”

Jay bent, his movements still aching and slow, and picked up the ends of their chains. He walked to the cleanser stalls, the links dragging behind him, pulling Birdie along. He didn’t look at her. He didn’t know what to say. The tender person who had whispered with him in the dark was gone, replaced by this shattered creature of shame. And he was the mirror that showed her what she had become.

He handed her the end of her chain. Their fingers did not touch. “The scrubbers won’t help,” he said, finally meeting her eyes. They were dead. “But you have to get clean anyway. It’s the next thing to do.”

He turned and walked into a stall, the door sliding shut behind him, leaving her standing alone in the bright, unforgiving light, holding the chain that bound her.

The sonic hum of the scrubber filled Jay’s stall, a vibration that traveled up from the deck plates into his bones. He stood under the sterile blue light, eyes closed, letting the high-frequency waves scour his skin. It removed every trace of fluid, every smear, every smell. It couldn’t touch what was inside.

From beyond the door, a sound cut through the hum. It started as a choked gasp, then broke into raw, heaving sobs. Birdie.

Jay kept his eyes shut. His inner monologue was a flat, dead channel. *She’s breaking. It’s the right response. This is what breaking sounds like.* He’d sobbed like that once, in the dark after the Graadar. He didn’t have the energy for it now. The scrubber cycled off, leaving a ringing silence punctuated by her wrecked weeping.

He should go out there. The thought was a reflex, like checking a warning light. But what was the procedure for this? There was no protocol for comforting another broken tool. Michelle’s training said to report damage, not to mend it.

The stall door slid open with a hiss. Birdie was on her knees a few feet away, her chain pooled around her, her body convulsing with each ragged inhale. She’d wrapped her arms around her middle, her forehead pressed to the cold tile. “Get it out,” she moaned into the floor, the words slurred with tears. “I can still feel it moving. It’s *in* me.”

Jay stepped out, clean and dry and empty. The contrast between his sanitized exterior and her filthy, shuddering misery was obscene. “The med purge will handle it,” he said, his voice sounding distant even to himself. “In an hour. It’s scheduled.”

Her head snapped up. Her face was a mask of snot and tears, her eyes wild. “Scheduled? You think that’s the point? It’s *Dracon* seed, Jay! It’s not just… it’s not just *fluid*. It’s *them*. Their… their *biology*. It’s inside my *uterus*.” The last word was a shriek of pure horror. “They piss acid! What if it… what if it *changes* something?”

He hadn’t considered that. His own inner landscape was a numb acceptance of violation. The possibility of permanent, physical alteration from it was a new, icy trickle in his gut. He shoved it down. “Then it changes something,” he said, the mechanic assessing the un-fixable. “We adapt.”

“Adapt?” She let out a wet, shattered laugh. “I’m not a fucking machine! I can’t adapt to that! I felt his… his *shape*. It was wrong. It *bent* me. And you were in my mouth, and I could taste you, and him, and it was all just… *sewage*.” She gagged, doubling over, though nothing came up.

“I know,” Jay whispered. He did know. The memory of the dual penetration was a sickening phantom pressure in his own gut and throat. The shame was a shared organ between them now.

“Do you?” she spat, looking at him with sudden, venomous clarity. “You offered yourself first. You played the hero. And then you held me while they did it. You made me *look* at you. You made it… intimate.” The accusation hung in the air. She wasn’t just disgusted by the act; she was disgusted by the perversion of the small comfort they’d managed to forge. He had contaminated that, too.

Jay had no defense. She was right. In trying to shield her, he’d only woven them tighter into the violation. The tenderness on stage had been real, a fragile lifeboat. He’d capsized it himself. “I thought it would help,” he said, the words utterly inadequate.

“Nothing helps!” she screamed, the sound bouncing off the sterile walls. “Don’t you get it? This is it! This is the job! We are toilets for monsters! And today… today they didn’t just use the bowl. They backed up the entire fucking sewer line into it!”

She collapsed forward again, her sobs renewing, quieter now, hopeless. “I want to die. I really, really want to die. But I’m too much of a coward. I’m just going to lie here until I rot from the inside out.”

Jay stood over her. The procedural part of his brain, the part that was learning to be a good asset, noted that she was creating a scene, delaying their return to the rest area, risking Michelle’s attention. The other part, the drowned man, just felt tired. He bent down, not touching her, and picked up her chain. “You have to clean up first,” he said. “Then you can rot.”

Her hand shot out and grabbed his wrist. Her grip was surprisingly strong, desperate. “Make me not feel it,” she begged, her eyes searching his, childlike in their terror. “Tell me how you do it. Tell me how to turn it off.”

He looked at her soiled skin, the tear tracks through the filth, the utter ruin in her eyes. He saw himself. “You thank them,” he said, repeating the lesson she’d taught him in the dark. “You say ‘thank you for the privilege of your use.’ You say it until you believe it. The feeling… it doesn’t go away. It just becomes the ground you’re standing on.”

Birdie stared at him, her breath hitching. Slowly, she released his wrist. She pushed herself up, moving like an old woman. She took her chain from him, her fingers brushing his for a cold second. Without a word, she turned and walked into an open scrubber stall. The door closed.

A moment later, Jay heard the sonic hum begin, and beneath it, a low, monotone murmur. He couldn’t make out the words, but he knew the mantra. *Thank you for the privilege. Thank you for the privilege.* He stood alone in the bright, silent room, the chains at his feet, and waited for her to finish the next thing she had to do.
