Chapter 23 of 23

Family Dinner

Kira sets her bag down in the entryway and peels off her jeans and top without a word, leaving herself in lace as Priya and Elena watch from the couch. We settle at the table with the pizza box open, and I tell Priya she's walking into my economics lecture with me tomorrow—she nods, but Elena's fork pauses. 'How was your day, husband?' she asks, and I take a bite before answering. 'Interesting. I met your friend Margaret.' Elena's face goes still, her knuckles whitening on the slice she hasn't lifted, and the room's temperature drops as Priya and Kira exchange a glance.

The pizza box sat between us like a peace offering neither side had signed. I reached for it, the cardboard greasy and slightly crumpled at the corner, and the smell of pepperoni and melted cheese cut through the tension that had been building since Kira walked in.

She'd done it without a word. Bag down in the entryway, then her jeans peeled off her hips in one motion, her top following over her head. No show, no hesitation. Just the quiet surrender of fabric to floor, leaving her in black lace that caught the kitchen light and made her look like something I'd won without trying.

Priya had watched from the couch, one eyebrow raised, already down to her bra and panties—one of my old t-shirts abandoned on the armrest. Elena had not looked up from the book she was pretending to read, her own thin camisole and shorts doing little to hide the curves underneath.

Now we sat at the oak table, the cleared dishes pushed to one end, and I let the silence stretch while I pulled out a slice. The cheese stretched and snapped, and I watched the three of them arrange themselves around me like planets I'd pulled into orbit.

Kira sat to my left, close enough that her bare arm almost touched mine. Her lace bra strap had slipped off her shoulder, and she hadn't bothered to fix it. She reached for the box at the same time I did, and our fingers brushed. She didn't pull away.

"Sorry," she said, but she wasn't. Her ice blue eyes held mine for a beat longer than necessary before she took her slice.

Priya sat across from me, her dark hair loose around her shoulders, her breasts pressing against the thin fabric of her bra as she leaned forward. She bit into her pizza and chewed slowly, watching me with those knowing eyes that saw too much.

"You're quiet tonight," she said.

"I'm always quiet."

"Quieter, then." She wiped a smear of sauce from the corner of her mouth. "Something happened today."

Not a question. Priya didn't ask questions when she already knew the answer. I took another bite and chewed, letting her wait.

Elena sat at the far end of the table, her slice untouched on her plate. She'd changed out of the skirt and cardigan she'd worn all day into something softer—a thin camisole and shorts that showed more skin than she probably realized. Or maybe she did realize. Maybe that was the point.

She was trying. That was the thing that kept catching me off guard. Every day she tried a little harder to want this, to be the woman I'd told her I wanted instead of the one who'd performed for me in the cabin. And every day I watched her fight herself for it.

"How was your day, husband?" she asked.

The word landed differently now. In the cabin it had been mechanical, hollow, a word she'd said because she had to. Now there was something underneath it. Something that flickered in her brown eyes when she said it, like she was testing whether she could mean it.

I took a bite before answering. Let her wait the way Priya had waited on me.

"Interesting," I said finally. "I met your friend Margaret."

The room changed.

It was small at first—a pause in the chewing, a shift in posture. Kira's jaw stopped mid-bite. Priya's eyes sharpened. But it was Elena who told me everything I needed to know.

Her face went still. Not surprised. Not confused. Still, like a lake freezing over in seconds. Her hand was reaching for the slice she hadn't lifted, and her fingers curled around the edge of her plate instead, knuckles going white.

"Margaret Oliver?" Her voice was careful. Measured. The voice of a woman who'd learned to hide her tells in faculty meetings and lecture halls.

"She's the acting director now," I said. "Since Evelyn took her leave."

Elena's fork was still in her other hand, suspended above her plate. I watched her grip tighten on it, the metal catching the harsh kitchen light.

"I know who she is," Elena said. "I've known Margaret for years."

"She seems to know you too." I bit into my pizza, chewed slowly, swallowed. "Asked about you. Said she was concerned."

I let the word hang. Concerned. Such a polite word for what Margaret Oliver had actually been. The way she'd looked at me in her office, her eyes sharp behind her reading glasses, her pen tapping twice before she spoke. The way she'd said Elena's name like it was a question she expected me to answer.

Elena's fork clattered against the ceramic.

The sound was sharp, sudden, cutting through the quiet like a slap. She didn't pick it up. Her hand stayed where it was, frozen above her plate, and I watched her throat work as she swallowed something that wasn't food.

Priya and Kira exchanged a glance across the table. I caught it in my peripheral vision—the quick flick of Kira's eyes to Priya, the slight raise of Priya's eyebrow in return. They'd felt it too. The temperature drop. The way the air had gone thin and cold.

"What did she say?" Elena asked. Her voice was still measured, but there was a crack in it now. A hairline fracture I could press on.

"She wanted to know where you were." I set my slice down and wiped my fingers on my napkin, taking my time. "Why you took a leave of absence so suddenly. Whether you were coming back."

I watched her face as I said it, cataloguing every micro-expression. The twitch at the corner of her mouth. The way her eyes went distant for half a second before she pulled herself back.

"What did you tell her?"

"That you were fine. That you needed rest." I shrugged. "That you'd be back when you were ready."

Elena's jaw tightened. She knew what I'd left out. She knew what I could have said, what I could have implied with a word or a look, and she knew I hadn't.

Not yet.

"She won't stop there," Elena said quietly. "Margaret doesn't let things go. She'll keep digging."

"Let her dig."

"You don't understand." Her voice cracked again, a little wider this time. "She knows me. She knows when I'm lying. She's known me for—"

She stopped. Swallowed. Looked down at her plate like she'd forgotten what was on it.

"Ten years," she finished. "She's known me for ten years. She was there when I got my PhD. She was there when I—"

Another stop. Another swallow.

I waited. The silence stretched, and I let it. There was something here, something under the surface of Elena's careful words, and I wanted to see it surface on its own.

"When I got married," she said finally. "She was at the wedding."

Kira's head came up. Her ice blue eyes went sharp, and I saw something flicker in them—surprise, maybe, or something else. Something she hadn't expected to hear.

"I didn't know that," Kira said.

"There's a lot you don't know." Elena's voice was flat. "A lot I never told you."

The words sat between them, heavy with years of silence. I watched Kira process them, watched her file the information away in whatever mental cabinet she used for the things her mother never said.

"She'll come here," Elena said. "If she thinks something's wrong, she'll come to the house. She's done it before."

"Let her."

"Justin—"

"I said let her." My voice was even, calm, the same tone I'd used in the cabin when she'd tried to push back and I'd reminded her exactly where she stood. "If Margaret Oliver wants to visit, she can visit. She'll see a happy household. A wife who's taking a break from work. A daughter who's home for the holidays."

I glanced at Priya. "A family friend who's staying with us."

Priya's mouth quirked. She understood. She always understood.

"And if she asks questions?" Elena pressed. "If she notices things?"

"What things?"

Elena's eyes dropped to her own lap. To the thin camisole. The shorts that barely covered anything. The underwear rule I'd set that meant she was never more than a layer away from being exposed in her own home.

"Things," she repeated. Quietly.

I reached across the table and took her hand. She startled—a small, sharp intake of breath that she tried to hide—but she didn't pull away. Her fingers were cold, and I wrapped mine around them, warming them the way I'd warmed Kira's in the car.

"You're my wife," I said. "You're allowed to dress however you want in your own home. If Margaret has questions about that, she can ask me."

Elena looked at our hands. Her thumb moved against mine—a small, unconscious gesture that she caught herself doing and immediately stopped.

"She'll ask about the files," she said quietly. "The ones you took. If she finds out they're missing—"

"She won't."

"You don't know Margaret like I do. She notices everything. She—"

"Elena."

Her mouth closed. The word hung between us, my voice soft but carrying the weight of everything I'd done to earn the right to say her name like that.

"I handled Evelyn," I said. "I can handle Margaret."

Elena's eyes searched mine. I saw the war in them—the fear and the hatred and the hunger she kept trying to bury, all of it churning beneath the surface of her careful composure.

"She's not like Evelyn," Elena said. "Evelyn—Evelyn was lonely. Margaret has a family. A husband. Children."

"I know."

"She has nothing to lose."

"Everyone has something to lose." I squeezed her hand. "You taught me that."

Something flickered in Elena's eyes. Pain, maybe. Or recognition. The knowledge that she'd shown me exactly where to strike, that every secret I held was a door she'd left unlocked.

She pulled her hand away. Not roughly. Just… gently. Like she was retrieving something she wasn't sure she wanted to keep.

"I need to clear the dishes," she said.

She stood, and I let her. Watched her gather the plates with hands that trembled slightly, watched her carry them to the sink with her back straight and her shoulders tight, her camisole riding up just enough to show the curve of her ass in those thin shorts.

Under the table, Kira's bare foot brushed against my ankle.

I didn't react. Neither did she. But the touch lingered, warm and deliberate, a small secret passing between us in the space where Elena couldn't see.

"She's scared," Kira said quietly, once her mother's back was turned. "I've never seen her scared like that."

"She's not scared of Margaret."

"No." Kira's ice blue eyes found mine. "She's scared of what Margaret will see when she looks at her."

The words hung in the air. I felt them land, felt the weight of them settle over the table like a second silence.

Priya reached across and took the last slice of pizza. She bit into it, chewed, swallowed, and looked at me with those knowing eyes.

"So," she said. "What's the plan?"

I leaned back in my chair. The oak was cold against my bare forearms, solid and unyielding, and I let myself feel it for a moment. The weight of the house around me. The women in it. The secrets stacked like kindling, waiting for a spark.

"The plan," I said, "is that tomorrow, you're walking into my economics lecture with me."

Priya's eyebrow arched. "Am I?"

"You are. You've been missing classes, and people are starting to ask questions. Anna's not the only one."

She considered this. Took another bite of pizza. Chewed slowly, deliberately, the way she did when she was thinking.

"Fine," she said. "What am I supposed to be?"

"My study partner. A friend from the group project. Someone who's been helping me with notes while she dealt with a family emergency."

"And Anna?"

"Anna gets the same story. You're fine. You're happy. You've been staying with your boyfriend."

Priya's mouth curved. "Boyfriend."

"That's what you are."

"I thought I was your partner."

"You're both." I reached across the table and took her hand, the same way I'd taken Elena's. Her fingers were warm where Elena's had been cold. "You're whatever I need you to be."

Priya held my gaze. Her thumb traced a slow circle on the back of my hand, and I felt the touch all the way down my spine.

"Okay," she said. "Babe."

The word was soft, almost tender. A reminder of what we were to each other when the masks came off and the games stopped.

Kira shifted in her seat. Her foot brushed my ankle again, harder this time, and I caught the flicker of something in her eyes—not jealousy, exactly. Something sharper. More possessive.

"What about me?" she asked.

"What about you?"

"Do I get to come to the lecture too?"

"You have your own classes."

"I have Property Law tomorrow. Final's on Monday." She tilted her head, studying me. "But I could skip it. If you needed me."

The offer hung in the air. I saw what she was doing—staking her claim, reminding me that she was here too, that she wasn't just another piece on the board.

"You're not skipping your final," I said. "You're going to pass it. You're going to walk out of that exam room and find me waiting for you, and then you're going to tell me how it went."

Kira's lips parted. Something softened in her face—a crack in the armor she wore so well, the same one I'd seen in the car.

"Okay," she said. "Daddy."

The word was quiet. Almost shy. But I heard it. We all heard it.

From the kitchen, the sound of water running as Elena started the dishes. She didn't turn around. But I saw her shoulders stiffen at the word, saw the way her hands stilled on the plate she was holding.

Priya's fingers tightened on mine. Her eyes were warm, knowing, a small smile playing at the corner of her mouth.

"Family dinner," she said. "Just like I always imagined."

I squeezed her hand and let go. Leaned back in my chair and watched Elena's back as she scrubbed a plate with more force than it needed.

Margaret Oliver was coming. I could feel it the way you feel a storm before it breaks—the pressure in the air, the charge building on the horizon. Elena knew it too. That was why her hands were shaking. That was why her fork had clattered against the ceramic and her knuckles had gone white.

But I'd handled Evelyn. I'd handled the quarterback and the group project and every other obstacle the university had thrown at me.

Margaret Oliver was just another door. Another lock to pick. Another secret to find and hold and use.

I reached for the pizza box, found it empty, and set it aside. The cardboard edge was greasy and crumpled, and I ran my thumb along it, feeling the texture.

"Elena," I called. "Come sit down. The dishes can wait."

She didn't turn. Her hands were still in the sink, and I watched her shoulders rise and fall with a breath she took too carefully.

"I'm almost done," she said.

"Elena."

The word was soft. But it wasn't a request.

She turned. Her brown eyes met mine across the kitchen, and I saw it again—the war she was fighting, the hatred and the hunger and the fear, all of it churning beneath the surface of her careful face.

She dried her hands on a towel. Set it down. Walked back to the table and sat in her chair, her spine straight, her hands folded in front of her like a student waiting for a lecture.

I reached across the table and took her hand again. This time, she didn't pull away.

"Margaret Oliver isn't going to break us," I said. "No one is. Do you understand?"

Elena's eyes searched mine. I saw the doubt there, the fear she couldn't quite hide, the part of her that still believed this would all come crashing down around us.

But she nodded.

"Yes," she said. "Husband."

I held her gaze for a long moment. Then I let go of her hand and picked up my napkin, folding it neatly and setting it on the table.

"She's going to call tomorrow," Elena said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Margaret. She's going to want to check on me. She always calls after—after she's worried about someone."

I watched her, waiting.

"She'll want to hear my voice. She'll want to come over." Elena's fingers twisted together in her lap. "She'll want to see the house."

"Then let her hear your voice." I leaned forward. "Let her come over. Let her see the house. You'll be here, in your home, with your family. There's nothing for her to find."

Elena's throat worked. "And if she asks to speak to me alone?"

The question landed. I felt it settle over the table, and I saw Priya and Kira both turn to watch me, waiting for my answer.

"Then you'll speak to her alone."

Elena blinked. Surprise flickered across her face, quickly masked. "You'd let me—"

"I'd let you talk to your friend." I kept my voice even. "You're my wife, not my prisoner. If Margaret Oliver wants to check on you, she can check on you. And you'll be so convincing that she'll leave here believing everything is exactly as it should be."

Elena stared at me. I saw the calculation in her eyes—the quick assessment of whether this was a trap, a test, a game I was playing with her.

"And if I'm not convincing?" she asked quietly.

"Then I'll have to make sure you are."

The threat was soft, almost gentle. But we all heard it.

Elena's jaw tightened. She looked down at her hands, at the camisole that barely covered her, at the shorts that left nothing to the imagination. The underwear rule that meant she was always exposed, always aware of her place in this house.

"I'll be convincing," she said.

"I know you will." I reached across and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear—a small, almost tender gesture that made her flinch before she caught herself. "Because you're mine, Elena. And when you're mine, you're the best at everything."

Something flickered in her eyes. Hatred, still there, buried deep. But beneath it, something else. Something that looked almost like pride.

Kira's foot brushed my ankle again. I didn't react. But I felt the warmth of it, the silent claim she was staking even as her mother sat across from me, even as Priya watched from the other end of the table.

"I should study," Kira said, standing. Her lace bra and panties caught the light as she moved, and I watched her walk toward the stairs with a deliberate sway. "Property Law final. You said I need to pass."

"I said you're going to pass."

She paused at the bottom of the stairs, looking back over her shoulder. "Same thing."

The words were light, but her eyes were not. They held mine for a long moment, full of something I couldn't quite name, before she turned and disappeared up the stairs.

Priya stood too, stretching her arms above her head in a way that made her breasts press against the thin fabric of her bra. "I'm going to bed. Early lecture tomorrow."

"You're coming with me to the economics lecture," I reminded her.

"I know." She smiled, soft and warm. "Goodnight, Babe."

She leaned down and kissed me—a quick, casual press of lips that lingered just long enough to mean something. Then she followed Kira up the stairs, leaving me alone with Elena.

The kitchen was quiet. The dishes sat in the sink, half-washed. The pizza box was empty on the table. Elena sat across from me, her hands folded in her lap, her eyes fixed on the wood grain of the table.

"You're really going to let her come here," she said. Not a question.

"Yes."

"Why?"

I stood, pushing my chair back. Walked around the table until I stood beside her. She didn't look up.

"Because hiding from Margaret Oliver makes us look guilty," I said. "And we're not guilty. We're a family. A husband, a wife, a daughter, and a houseguest."

I reached down and tilted her chin up, forcing her to meet my eyes. "You're going to convince her that everything is perfect," I said. "And you're going to do it so well that she never thinks to look twice. Because if she does—"

I let the sentence hang. Elena's breath caught.

"If she does," I repeated, "then I'll have to remind you exactly who you belong to. And I don't think you want that, don’t you Darling?"

Elena's eyes searched mine. I saw the fear there, the hatred, the hunger she kept trying to bury. All of it churning together until I couldn't tell where one ended and the others began.

"I'll convince her," she whispered.

"I know you will." I let go of her chin and ran my thumb along her lower lip, feeling the softness of it. "Because you're my good wife, Elena. And good wives protect their families."

She shivered. I felt it run through her, a tremor that started at her spine and spread outward. Her lips parted against my thumb, and for a moment, I thought she might say something.

She didn't.

I pulled my hand away and walked toward the stairs. At the bottom, I paused and looked back at her, still sitting at the table, still in her thin camisole and shorts, still fighting the war inside her head.

"Come to bed soon, wife."

I didn't wait for her answer. I climbed the stairs, the wood creaking under my weight, and left her alone with the dishes and the silence and the knowledge that Margaret Oliver was coming.

In our bedroom, Priya was already under the covers, her dark hair fanned across the pillow. She watched me undress with those knowing eyes, a small smile playing at her lips.

"You're cruel," she said softly. "Leaving her down there like that."

"She needs to sit with it." I pulled back the sheets and slid in beside her, the warmth of her body seeping into my skin. "Let her feel the weight of what's coming."

"And what is coming?"

I turned to face her in the dark. Her hand found my chest, her fingers tracing slow circles over my heartbeat.

"Margaret Oliver is coming," I said. "And Elena's going to have to lie to the one person who's known her longest. That's not cruelty. That's trust."

Priya's eyes searched mine. "You trust her?"

"I trust her fear more than her loyalty." I caught her hand and brought it to my lips, kissing her knuckles. "Fear keeps people honest. Loyalty gives them room to waver."

She was quiet for a moment. Then she shifted closer, pressing her warmth against my side.

"And me?" she asked. "What keeps me honest?"

I felt the question land somewhere deep in my chest. Priya had never asked me that before. She'd never needed to—she'd given herself to me freely, without the chains I'd wrapped around Elena and Kira.

"You," I said, "keep yourself honest. That's why you're different."

Her lips curved against my shoulder. "Good answer."

I felt her hand slide lower, past my stomach, her fingers curling around my length. I was already half-hard from the heat of her body, and she stroked me slowly, deliberately, the way she did everything.

"She's still downstairs," I murmured.

"I know." Her breath was warm against my neck. "That's what makes it better."

I caught her wrist, stilling her hand. "Not tonight."

She looked up at me, curiosity flickering in her eyes. "Why?"

"Because tonight I need to think." I released her wrist and pulled her close, my arm around her waist. "And I think better when I'm not distracted."

She laughed softly, settling against me. "You're no fun."

"I'm plenty of fun." I pressed a kiss to her forehead. "Just not tonight."

She sighed, but there was no frustration in it. Just acceptance. She trusted me, the way she'd trusted me from the start.

We lay in silence for a long moment. I listened to her breathing slow, felt her body relax against mine. But my mind was still turning, still cataloguing.

Margaret Oliver. Acting director. Elena's friend of ten years. A woman with a family, a husband, children—someone with everything to protect and nothing to lose.

She was a different kind of threat than Evelyn. Evelyn had been lonely, hungry for someone to see her. Margaret had roots, connections, a network of people who'd notice if she disappeared.

But everyone had a crack. Everyone had a door I could pick.

I just had to find Margaret's.

Below me, I heard the soft sounds of Elena moving through the kitchen. The clink of dishes being washed. The running of water. The quiet rhythm of a woman trying to make everything look normal.

She was good at that. I'd give her that much.

But normal was a performance. And performances could be broken.

I closed my eyes, letting Priya's warmth anchor me. Tomorrow, I'd walk into that lecture with her on my arm. Tomorrow, I'd face Margaret Oliver and whatever she threw at me.

Tonight, I just had to sleep.

But sleep didn't come easily. It never did when I had a new lock to pick.

Sleep came in fragments, the way it always did when my mind was running calculations. I'd drift, surface, drift again. At some point I felt Priya's hand slip off my chest, her breathing evening out into the soft rhythm of deep rest. The house settled around us—the creak of settling wood, the distant hum of the refrigerator, the whisper of wind against the window.

And below me, still, the sound of Elena moving.

I don't know what finally pulled me out of bed. Maybe it was the restlessness. Maybe it was the knowledge that she was down there alone, sitting with the weight I'd dropped on her shoulders. Maybe it was simpler than that—the pull of something unfinished.

I slipped out from under the covers, careful not to wake Priya. The floor was cold against my bare feet as I moved to the door, padding down the hallway in nothing but my boxers. The stairs creaked under my weight, the same creak I'd made an hour ago when I'd left Elena at the table.

The kitchen light was still on. But she wasn't in the kitchen.

I found her on the couch in the living room, sitting in the dark. The only illumination came from the kitchen behind her, casting her silhouette in sharp relief. She was still in her thin camisole and shorts—the same clothes she'd worn through dinner, through my thumb on her lip, through the promise I'd extracted from her.

She didn't hear me at first. Her head was bowed, her hands folded in her lap. She looked small like that, folded into herself, the way she did when she was fighting something she couldn't name.

I stood in the doorway for a long moment, just watching her. There was something raw about her in this light. Not the professor, not the wife performing obedience. Just a woman alone in the dark, trying to hold herself together.

"Can't sleep either?" I asked.

She flinched. Her head snapped up, and I saw the war in her eyes—the flash of fear, the flicker of something else that she was still learning to name. She'd gotten better at hiding it. But not good enough.

"Justin." His name came out breathy. "I didn't hear you."

"Clearly." I moved into the room, my steps slow and deliberate. I didn't sit beside her. Instead, I lowered myself onto the couch across from her, the worn fabric cool against my skin. I leaned back, spreading my arms along the backrest, and let my eyes travel over her. "You've been sitting here alone for an hour."

"I was thinking."

"About Margaret?"

She shook her head slowly. "About what you said. About being my real self." Her voice cracked on the word *real*, like it cost her something to say it. "I don't know if I know who that is anymore."

I let the silence stretch. Let her words hang in the air between us, heavy and unclaimed. This was the part of her that was still fighting—the part that thought if she could figure out who she was, she could figure out how to resist me.

Let her think that.

"Come here," I said.

She blinked. "What?"

"You heard me." My voice was calm, unhurried. "Come here. Crawl to me."

Her jaw tightened. I saw the protest forming in her eyes, the pride that still flared when I pushed her too far. But I'd learned the shape of her resistance by now. Learned how to bend it without breaking it.

"Your slutty way," I added. "The way you've learned to move when you want something."

She stared at me. For a long moment, I thought she might refuse. Might stand up, walk away, retreat to the kitchen and the dishes and the pretense of normalcy.

Then she moved.

She slid off the couch, her bare feet landing softly on the hardwood. She dropped to her knees first—that was easy for her now, the kneeling. Then her hands found the floor, and she began to crawl toward me.

There was a hesitation in her movements at first, a stiffness that came from the part of her that still hated this. But as she crossed the distance between us, something shifted. Her hips began to sway, a slow, deliberate roll that she'd learned from me. Her spine arched just enough to push her ass up, to make the movement obscene.

She was showing me what she'd learned. Performing for me.

But underneath the performance, I could see it. The flicker of genuine hunger in her eyes. The way her lips parted slightly as she approached. The way her breath quickened, not from exertion, but from anticipation.

She reached the couch and stopped at my feet, looking up at me. Her hair had come loose from its messy bun, falling in strands across her face. Her eyes were dark, searching mine for direction.

"Good girl," I said softly.

She flinched at the praise—not from displeasure, but from the way it landed in her chest. I'd learned that about her too. Elena hated how much she craved my approval. Hated the way her body responded when I gave it to her.

"Now come closer," I said. "Press your face where it belongs."

She crawled forward, her body sliding between my spread legs. Her hands found my thighs first, gripping them for balance. Then she lowered her head, pressing her cheek against the growing bulge in my boxers.

I was already half-hard from watching her crawl. The warmth of her face against me made me twitch, pressing against the thin fabric.

She let out a soft breath against me, and I felt the heat of it through the cotton. Then she began to move, rubbing her face against my length like a cat scenting something familiar. Her nose pressed into the base, her lips dragging along the shaft, her cheek grinding against the head.

I watched her. Let her work. There was something hypnotic about the way she moved, the way she'd learned to worship me without being told. She'd come so far from the woman who'd flinched at my touch in that cabin. So far from the professor who'd looked at me like I was something to be scraped off her shoe.

Now she pressed her face into my cock like it was the only thing keeping her tethered to the earth.

"That's it," I murmured, my hand finding the back of her head. I didn't push. Just let my fingers rest there, a reminder of who was in control. "Slow. Slutty. Be yourself."

She made a sound against me—a soft, needy whimper that vibrated through the fabric. Her hips shifted, grinding against the floor as she sought friction. She was getting wet. I could tell from the way she moved, the way her breath came faster, the way she pressed harder against me.

"Look at me," I said.

She lifted her head, her eyes meeting mine. There was something raw in them. Something hungry. The hatred was still there, buried deep—I could see it flickering in the corners. But it was drowning now, submerged beneath a tide of want she couldn't control.

"You want my cock, don't you?"

She nodded, her face still pressed against my bulge. The movement was small, almost desperate.

"Say it."

"Yes." Her voice was barely a whisper. "I want it. I want your cock."

I felt the words land in my gut like a physical blow. This was what I'd been building toward—not just her obedience, but her desire. The moment when she stopped performing and started wanting.

"Beg for it," I said.

She whimpered, pressing her face harder against me. Her hands gripped my thighs, her nails digging into the skin. "Please," she breathed. "Please, Justin. I need it. I need you inside me."

Her voice cracked on the last word, and I heard something real in it. Something that wasn't performance. She was begging me—truly begging me—and the sound of it made my cock throb against her cheek.

"Touch yourself," I said. "Your other hand. Down between your legs."

She hesitated for just a moment. Then her hand slid down her body, disappearing between her thighs. I heard the soft, wet sound of her fingers finding her slickness, and she let out a shaky moan against my bulge.

"That's it," I said. "Touch that slutty cunt while you worship my cock."

Her fingers began to move, slow and deliberate. Her hips rocked against her own hand. But her face stayed pressed against me, her eyes still locked on mine. She was focusing on me the way I'd told her to—her pleasure secondary to mine, her body a vessel for my enjoyment.

"You're getting wet," I observed. "I can hear it. The way your fingers slide through that mess."

She moaned, her cheeks flushing. "Yes," she breathed. "Yes, I'm wet. So wet. For you."

"For me?" I pressed my hand against the back of her head, guiding her movements. "Or for my cock?"

"Both." Her voice was thick with want. "Everything. Everything is for you."

I let her work for a long moment, watching her face as she pressed against me and touched herself. There was something beautiful about her like this—stripped of her armor, her intellect, her carefully constructed walls. Just a woman on her knees, desperate for her husband's cock.

Her breathing grew faster. Her fingers moved quicker, the wet sounds filling the room. She was close—I could see it in the way her eyes glazed over, in the way her hips began to buck against her hand.

"Don't come yet," I said.

She whined—a high, desperate sound that she couldn't hold back. "Please," she begged. "Please, I'm so close."

"I know you are." I ran my thumb along her cheek, feeling the heat of her skin. "But you don't get to come until I'm inside you."

She whimpered, but she slowed her fingers. The discipline cost her something—I could see it in the tremor that ran through her body, the way she had to force herself to obey.

"Good girl," I said again, and I felt her shiver at the praise.

I reached down and hooked my fingers into the waistband of my boxers, pulling them down just enough to free my cock. It sprang up, hard and aching, the head glistening with pre-cum.

Elena's eyes dropped to it. I saw her throat work as she swallowed, saw the hunger flare in her gaze.

"You want to taste it first?" I asked.

She nodded, already leaning forward. But I caught her chin, stopping her.

"Slow," I reminded her. "Like you mean it. Not the way you used to do it—not because you had to. Because you want to."

She met my eyes. For a moment, I saw the war flicker through her—the part of her that still hated this, still hated me, still wanted to bite and claw and escape. But it faded, swallowed by something deeper.

"I want to," she said. And for the first time, I believed her.

She lowered her head, her lips parting as she took me into her mouth. She was slow about it, deliberate, her tongue tracing the length of me before she swallowed me down. The heat of her mouth was almost unbearable, and I let out a low groan, my hand finding her hair.

She worked me with a patience that bordered on worship. Her head bobbed slowly, her eyes staying on mine the whole time—the way I'd taught her. She wanted me to watch. Wanted me to see what she was doing to me.

"That's it," I breathed. "Take it slow. Savor it."

She moaned around me, the vibration running through my shaft. Her hand was still between her legs, her fingers moving in lazy circles as she pleasured herself in time with her mouth.

I let her work for what felt like hours. The minutes stretched, filled with the wet sounds of her mouth and the soft hum of her pleasure. She was lost in it—I could see it in the way her eyes fluttered closed, the way she gave herself over to the act.

But I wanted more.

I pulled her off me with a soft pop, her lips swollen and glistening. She looked up at me, dazed, her hand still moving between her legs.

"Stand up," I said. "Turn around. Bend over the arm of the couch."

She rose on unsteady legs, her body trembling with need. She turned, presenting her ass to me as she bent over the armrest, her hands gripping the fabric. Her shorts were soaked through, the thin material clinging to her slick folds.

I reached out and hooked my fingers into the waistband, pulling them down her thighs. She stepped out of them, and I pushed her camisole up, baring her ass to the cool air.

She was beautiful like this. Laid open. Waiting.

I stepped closer, my cock pressing against her wet heat. She gasped, pushing back against me, trying to take me inside her.

"Not yet," I said, my hand flat on her lower back. "You wait until I give it to you."

She whimpered, but she stilled. Her body trembled with the effort of holding still, of waiting for permission.

I guided myself to her entrance, just barely pressing inside. Just enough to make her feel the stretch, to make her ache for more.

"Please," she begged. "Please, Justin. Fuck me. I need it."

"You need it?" I pressed a little deeper, watching her back arch. "Tell me what you need."

"Your cock," she gasped. "I need your cock inside me. I need you to fuck me like the slut I am."

The words sent a jolt through me. She'd never said that before—never named herself that way. This was new. This was her, finally giving in to what she wanted.

"Good girl," I said, and I thrust into her.

She cried out, her fingers clawing at the couch fabric. She was so wet—slick and hot and tight around me. I gripped her hips and began to move, slow at first, letting her feel every inch of me.

"Look at me," I said.

She twisted her upper body, craning her neck to meet my eyes. There were tears in them—not from pain, but from the overwhelming fullness of the moment. She was feeling everything, all at once, and she couldn't hold it back.

"That's it," I breathed, picking up the pace. "Take it. Take all of it."

Her mouth fell open, a stream of moans spilling out as I fucked her over the arm of the couch. Her hand found her clit, rubbing frantically as she chased her release.

"Come for me," I said. "Come on my cock."

She shattered. I felt her clench around me, her body convulsing as she cried out my name. The sight of her—broken open, desperate, completely mine—pushed me over the edge.

I came inside her with a groan, my hips grinding against her as I emptied myself into her heat. She was still trembling, still clenching around me, drawing out every last drop.

We stayed like that for a long moment, breathing hard, connected. Her body was limp against the couch, her legs shaking.

Finally, I pulled out, watching my cum leak from her slick folds. She turned to look at me, her eyes hazy with satisfaction.

"I think I found myself," she whispered.

I reached down and pulled her up, wrapping my arm around her waist. She leaned into me, her head resting against my chest.

"Good," I said, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Because I'm not done with you yet."
