Bryce pulled the door open.
For a moment, none of them moved.
The renovated barn opened ahead of them beneath warm overhead lights, polished concrete replacing the old dirt floor Holly remembered. The central aisle ran toward the stage at the far end. Heavy curtains hung tied back across the bays, the old half-walls still visible beneath them. Bay Three’s bar gleamed to one side.
And then there was everything else.
The stockade.
The cross.
The equipment along the walls.
The electric hoist waiting beneath the old lifting beam.
Luke stepped through first and stopped.
“Holy shit.”
Erin came in beside him, her gaze travelling slowly over the space. Holly crossed the threshold last.
She said nothing.
Bryce let the door close behind them.
“You built all this?” Erin asked.
“We built it,” Elara said.
Holly walked forward.
Her eyes moved from the stage to the bar, then upward to the hoist. She turned slowly, taking in the curtains and the equipment tucked into the bays.
“This doesn’t even look like the same place.”
“It nearly isn’t,” Bryce said.
Luke ran a hand along the timber of the nearest half-wall.
“This is serious.”
“That was the idea.”
Erin looked toward the bar.
“You have an actual bar.”
Elara smiled. “That argument took a while.”
“You won?”
“Obviously.”
Bryce shook his head.
Holly finally laughed.
The sound loosened something in the room.
She moved toward the stockade, running her fingers over the smooth timber.
“This is the one?”
“The first thing we built for this place,” Elara said.
Holly looked at her.
“You tested it?”
“Thoroughly.”
“I’d expect nothing less.”
Holly continued along the aisle.
Then she stopped.
The old brown collar hung with the other equipment.
Her hand rose slowly.
“You kept it.”
Elara came alongside her.
“Of course.”
Holly touched the leather with two fingers, turning it enough to see the worn brass ring.
“It’s held up.”
“Bryce offered to make me another one.”
Holly looked at him.
“And?”
“She told me no.”
Holly smiled.
“Good.”
Elara lifted the collar from its hook.
“Holly. Then Tessa. Then me.”
“Still weird hearing it said like that.”
“You wore it first.”
Holly rubbed her thumb across the leather.
“Long time ago.”
Elara looked at her.
“Still part of it.”
Holly’s eyes lifted to hers.
For a moment, neither said anything.
Then Erin came up beside Holly and rested a hand at her waist.
“You alright?”
“Yeah.”
Holly released the collar.
“Just remembering.”
They moved further into the barn.
Luke stopped at the cross.
Erin examined the stockade.
Holly opened one curtain, looked inside the bay and immediately closed it again.
“What’s in there?”
Elara smiled. “Later.”
“That bad?”
“That good.”
Holly laughed.
Eventually they gathered near the stockade again.
Erin folded her arms.
“So how does this actually work?”
Elara looked at Bryce.
He left the answer to her.
“There isn’t a script.”
“That’s reassuring.”
“We talk. We try something. If someone doesn’t like it, we stop.”
Luke nodded.
“No assumptions?”
“None.”
Holly leaned against the stockade.
“And if someone does like it?”
Elara met her eyes.
“We keep going.”
The silence changed.
Holly looked at Luke.
Then Erin.
Something passed between the three of them.
“I’ll go first.”
Luke smiled faintly. “Of course you will.”
“You complaining?”
“Not remotely.”
Holly turned to Elara.
“Show me.”
Elara’s pulse kicked.
She looked at Bryce.
He was already beside the stockade.
Holly stepped into position.
Bryce adjusted the restraint while Elara stayed in front of her. Luke and Erin remained close, watching without crowding her.
“You tell us if anything changes,” Elara said.
Holly smiled.
“I remember how this works.”
“I know.”
Elara brushed a strand of blue hair away from Holly’s face.
“I still needed to say it.”
Holly’s expression softened.
“Fair.”
Bryce finished the last strap and stepped back.
Holly tested the restraint.
“Well?”
She pulled once more.
“Oh, this is much better than anything we used to improvise.”
Bryce smiled.
“I’ve had practice.”
“Clearly.”
Luke came behind her and settled both hands at her hips.
Erin stood beside her, fingertips travelling along Holly’s arm.
Holly’s breath changed.
Elara noticed.
So did Bryce.
Holly looked between the four of them.
“Are you all just going to stare?”
Elara laughed.
“You volunteered.”
“Doesn’t mean you have to waste it.”
Erin kissed her first.
Holly relaxed into it almost immediately, the tension leaving her shoulders while Luke’s hands moved slowly over her hips.
Elara stayed back.
That surprised her.
She had expected the sight to make her impatient to join them. Instead she found herself wanting to watch.
Holly with her wrists held.
Luke behind her.
Erin’s mouth against hers.
Bryce beside Elara, quiet and still.
His hand settled low on her back.
“Alright?”
“Yes.”
“You want in?”
“Not yet.”
Bryce glanced at her.
“I want to see.”
He understood.
Holly’s shirt came loose. Erin pushed it from her shoulders while Luke kissed the side of her neck.
Holly laughed at something he murmured, then the laugh caught when Erin’s hand slid beneath her bra.
Elara felt the change in herself.
Bryce felt it too.
His thumb moved once against her back.
“Still watching?”
“For now.”
Holly opened her eyes.
They found Elara’s immediately.
The invitation was obvious.
Elara stepped closer.
“Can I?”
Holly nodded.
“Please.”
Elara’s hand settled on Holly’s thigh.
Warm skin beneath her palm.
Holly shivered.
“That alright?”
“Yes.”
Elara moved higher.
Holly’s breathing shortened.
Luke shifted behind her, giving Elara room without moving away. Erin remained at Holly’s other side.
Nothing felt choreographed.
Hands moved where there was space.
People moved when someone else needed it.
Holly leaned into all of them.
Elara kissed her.
Soft at first.
Familiar enough to carry history, different enough that neither of them could pretend they were back at Ironstone.
Holly kissed her harder.
When they separated, she was smiling.
“Took you long enough.”
“Shut up.”
Erin laughed against Holly’s shoulder.
The remaining awkwardness disappeared.
By the time Holly came, she had Luke behind her, Erin pressed close at one side and Elara between her thighs.
Her fingers tightened around the restraint.
The sound she made filled the barn.
Elara stayed with her until the tension went out of Holly’s body.
Luke kissed her shoulder.
Erin stroked her hair back from her face.
Bryce released the restraints one at a time.
Holly stepped free on unsteady legs and immediately laughed.
“Fuck.”
Luke caught her around the waist.
“Useful review.”
“Very.”
Erin kissed her cheek.
Holly looked at Elara.
Then past her to Bryce.
“Your wife’s dangerous.”
“I know.”
Elara smiled.
“Sit down before you fall down.”
Holly let Luke guide her to one of the fold-down benches.
Erin sat beside her.
For a few moments the five of them simply stopped.
Water appeared.
Holly drank half a glass before looking at Elara again.
“You were watching me.”
“Yes.”
“Before you joined.”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
Elara glanced at Bryce.
“Because I wanted to know what it felt like from this side.”
Holly studied her.
“And?”
Elara looked back toward the stockade.
“Different.”
“That’s all?”
“For now.”
Bryce knew what she wasn’t saying.
He picked up the leather harness.
Elara saw it in his hands and her pulse jumped.
Holly noticed.
“What?”
Elara stood.
“My turn.”
The room went quiet.
Not awkward this time.
Expectant.
Bryce held the harness open.
Elara stepped toward him.
She undressed without rushing.
That was part of it.
Luke watched openly now. Erin did too. Holly sat between them, recovered enough that curiosity had replaced the softness in her expression.
Elara could feel their attention.
That was what she had asked for.
Bryce settled the harness around her with familiar hands. No explanation. No demonstration of buckles or load paths.
He checked it.
Elara checked him.
“Ready?”
“Yes.”
The hoist took the slack.
Her feet lifted from the polished concrete.
Holly breathed out.
“Oh.”
Elara smiled.
Bryce raised her only enough to take her weight, leaving her suspended within easy reach.
No stockade.
No timber at her back.
Nothing to hide behind.
She looked at Holly.
“This is what I wanted you to see.”
Holly stood.
“What?”
“Me.”
Bryce’s hand settled against Elara’s thigh.
The touch was familiar.
So was the immediate response it pulled from her.
Elara closed her eyes briefly.
When she opened them, Holly was closer.
Erin and Luke had followed.
Elara looked at Bryce.
He nodded.
She looked back at Holly.
“Touch me.”
Holly’s palm settled against her thigh.
Erin’s hand found her waist from the other side.
Luke remained close enough that Elara could feel his presence without being touched.
At first.
Then his fingers wrapped lightly around her ankle.
Three different points of contact.
Bryce in front of her.
Elara breathed out.
Everything became smaller.
The barn was still there.
The lights.
The polished floor beneath her.
The quiet creak of leather.
But gradually those things became less important.
Bryce watched her face.
He knew.
He always knew.
Holly touched her more confidently now.
Erin followed Elara’s reactions rather than copying Holly.
Luke’s hand moved from her ankle to her calf, then higher.
Bryce stayed in control of the pace.
Elara felt herself opening beneath all of it.
Not simply physically.
The other thing.
The part she had tried to explain at the kitchen table.
Her need to keep track of the room began slipping.
She heard Holly say something.
Couldn’t quite catch the words.
Bryce touched her face.
“Elara.”
Her eyes found his.
There.
That was enough.
She smiled.
Bryce kissed her.
When he moved between her thighs, Elara wrapped herself around him as much as the harness allowed.
Someone behind her gasped.
She didn’t know whether it was Holly or Erin.
Didn’t care.
Bryce entered her slowly.
Elara’s head fell back.
The harness took her weight.
His hands held her hips.
The others watched.
Exactly as she had asked.
Bryce moved.
Elara heard herself making sounds she would normally have tried to control with strangers in the room.
She let them happen.
Holly’s hand touched her again.
Erin’s followed.
Luke stayed at her side, one hand firm against her leg.
Elara looked at them once.
Three faces watching.
Not mocking.
Not judging.
Not waiting for her to entertain them.
Just there.
Seeing.
Bryce drew her attention back to him.
“Stay with me.”
She nodded.
He kissed her.
The rest of the barn began to fall away.
When the orgasm hit, it took the strength from her completely.
The harness caught her.
Bryce caught everything else.
Elara heard Holly swear softly.
Erin said her name.
Luke stepped closer.
Bryce stayed where he was until Elara’s breathing changed.
Only then did he lower her.
Her feet touched the polished concrete, but her legs didn’t immediately remember what they were for.
Bryce wrapped an arm around her.
“I’ve got you.”
Elara leaned into him.
Somewhere nearby Holly said, very quietly, “Now I understand.”
Elara closed her eyes.
That was why she had invited her.
Bryce guided her to the bench.
Holly shifted immediately to make room.
Elara sat between Bryce and Holly while Erin brought water and Luke collected the abandoned clothes.
Nobody rushed to start something else.
Nobody filled the silence.
Elara drank.
Holly’s shoulder rested against hers.
After a while, Elara turned her head.
“Well?”
Holly looked at her.
“You wanted me to see you.”
“Yes.”
“I did.”
Elara waited.
Holly smiled.
“You’re fucking incredible.”
Elara laughed, weak and genuine.
“Good answer.”
Bryce’s hand rested on her thigh.
Across from them, Erin leaned against Luke.
Five people.
No plan for what came next.
For the moment, nobody seemed to need one.
