The Unlocked Photo

Warren's phone vibrates on the table, the screen lighting up with David's name and the message 'Counting.' Claire's gaze snaps to it, her hand already moving to grab it before he can. He lurches forward, but she's faster, her fingers closing around the phone, her eyes widening at the photo of him unlocked. 'Who is David?' she asks, her voice cracking, the wig and belt now connected in her mind. Warren stands frozen, the cage key burning in his pocket, as the truth spills into the room.
